I prefer $0.25 or $0.50, and I am okay playing a 98% machine to get that level instead of $1

Yeah the only 99%+ machines to my knowledge are 7/5 Bonus units for dollars at Flamingo and Harrah's.

But ANY time you see Bonus Poker, that's a 98%+ game (98.12% for 3-line) because 6/5 Bonus is the worst Bonus variant offered on Ultimate X. Harrah's and Cosmo has that for as cheap as nickels, dimes, quarters. I think the variant is on all of their machines but not positive. Not sure about the paytables for DDB, but if they have 9/5 DDB at a casino, then that's a 98%+ game too (98.36% for 3-line). Not sure about Harrah's and Cosmo on DDB, but I remember the Quad had 9/5 DDB for 5c, 10c, 25c on the stand-alone Ult X units near Hash House a Go-Go.

Of course to get anywhere close to 98%, you have to play the "messed up" ultimate x strategy. Unfortunately poorer paytables are unpublished, but I would expect 6/5 Bonus to be close to 7/5 Bonus:

9/5 DDB using 9/6 DDB is probably a little more off than Bonus. I'm not sure four to a flush is ever worth more than high pair at 9/5 for example. The rest might be pretty close though.

Thanks, tringlo. I never see anyone on here talking about Ultimate X, so it's nice to have some knowledge. I know you like the STP machines at Aria. Do you know if they have any $0.25 Ult X around there?

I find it everywhere. The annoying part is when the silverminers Swoop in when someone leaves an Ult.X.
Theyre like vultures circling UltX waiting for you to leave.
Since that is the case, I Always make sure NOT to leave any multipliers when I leave a machine.
If everyone who plays Ult.X would do that? The silverminers would have to take their show on the road.

I love the term "silverminers"! Do you know if there are any decent 10-play $0.05 machines at Bellagio, Monte Carlo, Aria, or NYNY? I'm pretty sure I've seen them at Cosmo, but didn't really look at the others when I was last there

Oh definitely. This is from my TR.

I'm not sure of the paytables though as I didn't play Ult X there myself and forgot what that lady's full house/flush was worth. But it was definitely at Row 870 (or at least a multi-game unit that offered it), and possibly a few other places. Maybe not many though, because they say there is only one Ult X machine there and 3 All Star Poker II machines which would also likely have Ult X. The 2 Superstar Poker games may also have it.

CET with their VP overhaul definitely has superior availability now though. Most CET casinos have about a dozen units each that can offer the game (either stand alone or All Star Poker IIs).
