They just added $10, $25 and $50 freeplay options to MyVegas. However, these are not very great as each requires a 2-night minimum stay to redeem....thoughts?

So you have to pay for 2 nights to qualify for the free plays? I guess it depends on if the rates are at rack or if you can get them discounted. This isn't anything i'd probably take advantage of. I'd be very interested in free play rewards without restrictions. I know they were there in the past but they weren't a very good value.

I have 150,000 loyalty points I don't know what to do with, was going to use 32,000 to buy $25 at Monte Carlo and 32,000 to buy $25 at MGM...but the fact that you have to stay at the hotel you are redeeming for, that's crazy. It's 1 night if you are redeeming $10, 2 nights if you redeem $25 and 3 nights if you redeem $50, LUDACRIS. Related, I got an email from Treasure Island saying "$50 freeplay if you stay with us...OR...if you're not staying with us, earn 100 slot points and we'll give you $50 freeplay"...IMO, that is how it should be. Still gets the customer into the casino and gets them playing, but doesn't force them to stay. After a bad experience last time with MGM, I didn't have any plans on gambling at a MGM casino and still don't. I'll earn my 100 points at TI to earn the free $50 and then I'll do all the rest of my gambling at Total Rewards, where I'm staying.

It just seems to say that you have to be a registered guest to redeem the reward.

I'm hoping they can come up with bigger freeplay awards available: I am almost at 800K points and not that much to spend the points on that interests me or that I can't already get comped up front.

I'm glad they are bringing back the Freeplay rewards. I think anything over 1 night required stay is a bit excessive, especially for the points required for the $50 one, but it's nice to have the option of getting them.

The cost of My Vegas rewards has skyrocketed over the past year and now they put too many restrictions on them as well. After my upcoming trip, I'm probably going to stop playing the game. It was fun for a while, but now it's just becoming a big waste of time.

I agree, there's nothing worthwhile to spend the gold on and this freeplay reward sucks. I get better freeplay offers and comp rooms as it is, why the hell would I pay for a room to get less than value in freeplay.

If they wanna wow me make it freeplay without a stay, my girl and I have over 1M gold each and it's a shame we can't use it. We are almost to the point of redeeming shows and giving the tickets away just to generate some positive karma.

It looks like it doesn't matter how you acquire your room. As long as you're a guest you can qualify for the free play. That's a little better but this one will serve a small audience. I guess I could see this pushing someone to stay at a specific hotel if they were truly undecided.

Between my wife and I we'll have about $950 worth of rewards for our trip in September. Well worth the time I put it, IMO.

Divide that by the time spent to play the game, and I think the ROI is very poor.. So my opinion is I'd rather spend the time doing other things.
Add to that that a lot of the rewards went up in LP's since the game started. the only thing that's positive is the pre fun you have from the game

I'm certainly not meaning to criticize anyone who doesn't think its worthwhile for them - just stating that for me it is. I mainly have the game running in the morning before I go to work while I catch up here or on other sites, or in the evening while I'm watching TV. Its not taking away from doing something else that would be saving me money elsewhere, so for me its worth it. And I don't care too much about the prices as I have plenty of LP's to purchase whatever I want - I realize that for many that is not the case. But for me its all a bonus that introduces me to some things in Vegas that maybe I wouldn't have tried otherwise, and saves me a few buck as well!

Since we don't gamble enough to always get rooms comped MyVegas is well worth the time and effort for me and the misses. We have 5 nights at Aria thanks to this free game that we play on our free time!

I am very disappointed to see that you need to be staying at the hotel to be able to redeem the Freeplay rewards. Honetly, I am having a hard time coming up with rewards that I can use for my upcoming trip. I was going to get a ticket to LOVE, but it is dark the entire time I'll be there. I was looking at getting some free buffets, but most of them are Mon-Thursday only. Pretty frustrating. I think after this trip I am done with MyVegas also.

Fine print says, "At the time of redemption you must be a New York-New York hotel guest to be eligible to receive this FREEPLAY reward (two night minimum stay required)." Any idea if two people registered to one room at NYNY could both purchase and use the reward?
