    Hello everyone,

I imagine it's a long-shot considering the holiday, but I thought I'd put together a meet-up for anyone in town over the July 4th holiday.

    When: July 4th, 2pm
Where: Boar's Head Bar, inside the Main Street Station Casino, downtown

Come have a nice cold $1.75 beer, $0.99 margarita, and shoot the breeze with some fellow VMBers. Play some video poker too, if you're so inclined.

Reply to this thread if you think you'll make it.

I'm in. Maybe I can get a drink from Kelly this time.

I know it's sad that I know all the bartender's schedules.:beer: Jose & Olig will be there at 2 PM and Kelli starts at 3 PM, but the holiday may change their schedules.
    Have fun!

Not sad at all. I'm typically at Boar's Head later in the evenings, so I know that Ronnie shows up when 11pm rolls around.
OK, maybe that is sad, but I have no qualms about knowing the bartender's schedule when he remembers what I like to drink trip after trip.

Alright, so far here are the folks planning on attending on Friday:

billyinpg (+1 and first timers to Boar's Head)
jimboguy (for a while thought he wasn't going to make the trip, but luck was on his side and he'll be there after all)

Anyone else want to join us?

I'd do this, but with the new Fremont Street drinking laws I may have to refrain or else face a hefty fine.

Excellent! Looking forward to meeting you. If you like beer, I think you'll enjoy Boars Head.

Okay, will amend request to recycle one for me onto the Berlin Wall. Glad you'll be making your own meet up after all. Two more months for me.

I haven't tried the high roller gold yet; I've been sticking to Sour IPA and Marker Pale Ale. But the guy sitting next to me at Boar's Head around 6pm last night had about 6 of the Gold and seemed to like them just fine.

Wow so strange. We showed up at 1:55 and started asking from left end to right and no one knew what VMB was. There really wasn't room for the two of us so we took up a spot just to the left of the bar on the floor playing VP. We didn't really see any change of people at the bar so we left around 3:00 or so.

Oh well at least I know where it is now lol.

Hey Jimboguy - I'm pretty sure you are referring to me. I was at machine #2 and had around those many Pale Ales - was wearing a blue, 4th of July 5K t-shirt with an Uncle Sam/Marine on the back. Guess we forgot to talk about VMB.

Did the seafood buffet that night (not that good) and lost my buzz

Hi Wade - I was a little further down the bar by 6pm (just right of center), so unfortunately we didn't run into each other. Did you do the 5K that started near Hogs & Heifers that morning? Sorry to hear the seafood buffet wasn't so good.

Sorry we missed each other, billyinpg. I wasn't there until about 10 minutes after 2pm, so that explains the lack of response to your VMB inquiry at the bar. I hope you got a chance to have a beer at least.
