    Hi Folks

Has anyone who goes to Casino Windsor noticed that they have really tightened up on their comped rooms? At the moment I have 3500 points, not a lot but it shows some play, and have been to Vegas in November and again in June with comped rooms. I e-mailed a host at Windsor looking for a room on August 30th and 31st. This was his reply

"Good day sir, my name is John I am one of the VIP Host here at Caesars Windsor. In regards to the dates of August 30th and 31st with your Total Rewards Card the Best rate will be Saturday August 30th $139 and for Sunday August 31st $59. Please let me know if you will be interested in booking the room at these rates".

We have not been to Windsor for quite a while but used to get comped rooms when we did. I guess I was surprised that the Sunday night at least would not have been comped.

Anyone else have any feedback on this?

I noticed that as well. I had offers of free and discounted rooms last summer and fall, and took advantage of a free weekend in September. But ever since then, I haven't seen a thing from them. My rate calendar for the dates you mentioned are more than you were quoted as well. No idea why they're so different. I enjoyed being able to drive to Canada for the weekend.

Ok. One thing I did not notice was that the dates I requested were the Labour Day weekend so that may explain the rates. I have also tried to get something comped on other days and there are no comps but reduced rates about $50 night so I guess they have tightened up a bit.

Rooms there are tougher to get on summer weekends. Also on any show days such as MCDONALD & TOTO - AUGUST 31. We will be there tomorrow.

I have also noticed that. We would go once a year. Last year we were booked to go and decided to go to Horseshoe in Cleveland. I cancelled my reservation in Windsor and the lady asked why so I told her we decided on Cleveland instead. Then not a comped room to be had at all. The best I could get was 79.00 a night in end of August because it was the best I could find as going to a Tiger's game. Do you have to call a host to try to get a better rate or do you just go with the calendar rate?

We just go with the calendar. The wife and I are both diamond and there have been a few times we could not get a room even when our accounts are added together. I have called a few times and they just tell me the same.
