last weekend was my first time getting comped retail for my trip. Usually I just eat it down, or buy chocolates/cookies/pastries for home on my way out. But now I see it as another way to get stuff im too cheap to pay cash for. I never would buy expensive sunglasses or designer jeans at home.

i had Comp credit from my "theo" to spend at the "gift shop" and had a good time. (Im not talking about points from mlife/cet/cosmo but just from the theo)

How friendly are the mlife places on letting people use their discrestionary comps at the end before check out on retail?

i know the larger players nate/uk do it but what about the mid rollers with hosts?

next trip im eyeing noise canceling headphones lol.

Win or lose, theo gets generated and i don't plan to use it all on food. I mine as well get something else!

i gotten the chacoloate at aria comped ., notsure about the stores there but if you have a big loss anything is possible .

the clothing store in aria said i cant use my ec credits to buy crap with if that helps ,

if u have a host ask there pretty open about what they will or will not cover they want u to come back.

I had a winning trip and they still let me use my 40% of theo shop.

but im a cheap ass at home when it comes to cloths, etc. Cosmo has a decent gift shop with some name brand cloths, sunglasses, and other stuff besides the "cosmo/vegas related junk" so it seems like a good deal if you cant eat that much food.

I remember the aria gift shop was pretty good, lots of name brand cloths besides the Hotel apparel items. Seems like a good way to spend extra theo if you are not gonna use it on food.

Mlife does not allow spending of EC for retail.

Big enough player -maybe it is possible.

Thanks, looks like the comp system at Cosmo is in my favor at the moment.
As the marketing offers current do not count against theo.

theo is generated by any games, tables or slots.

you will need a host to break it down. They can even tell you which machine you played, how much you won or loss. Its all recorded in their computers and it can spit out a value if you have access to it.

    my steps are,
    1. call host to use marketing offer. He says they don't count against your theo.
    2. Win money ( okay somethis I fck this step up)
    3. Before leaving, check to see if you have an left over theo to use up. heavy gaming trips, im a burger/café guy so I don't use much theo
    4. verbal confirmation that host says he will comp u the rest of theo. Id hate to be stuck with a bill for retail on stuff I wouldn't buy anyways.

What evers left, go buck wild @ holograms store. Tax seems to count with retail.

That after I had asked at the Milfe desk if I could spend my EC's at the gift shop in the hotel and he had said yes so I blew a couple of hundy on jewelry for my GF then had to put my hand in my pocket to pay for it at check out DOH!

The short answer to this thread (which I don't think has been explicitly stated yet) is that getting retail comped at mlife properties is a hard comp. So it's not impossible, but it is very hard to get.

    he's lying to you.

they can't comp you anything extra unless you play above the comps from the marketing offer.

and retail is almost never comped esp at Mlife these days.

so I honestly don't believe a word you are saying.

This is at Cosmo. Not an mlife property. Marketing offers as of now do not count against theo per my host.
In my trip report I listed my play and what retail I got comped
