    My Trip Report

A bit of an impromptu TR, since the trip was only authorized by wife about a week ago. I'm headed to the Wynn with wife and kids and to meet some friends. Wife pissed at me this time for various reasons so I will be with the kids for most of the trip, hope to sneak out for some gambling when they go to sleep....yay jetlag.

Although for a moment of reflection, my eldest daughter asked me the other day (she's 11), why do you gamble so much daddy? I was a bit at a loss for words, but I explained it is daddy's hobby, and entertainment because daddy does need some down time from work :) (total bs but it sounds good).

    Plans for this TR :

    1. Try to go more live by using tapatalk for pictures
    2. Bought a gopro camera and wrist rig to see if I can record a craps session (hopefully an epic one and not a short point 7-out one).....though I will probably get tackled and 86'd....good outcome either way.
    3. After reading Beejay's report, was wondering if the comp yourself system is much better, although for me it will be a modified one where I still get the nice rooms and service, but don't gamble as high or as much....since reading a few other threads I see people gambling much less and still have the fairway villas and golfing every day....hmm.....I can do without the auto advance on poker tournaments.
    4. Spend more time with kids. If I get a divorce (painful financially, 50% of a lot is a lot, Taiwan is also 50-50). I need to figure out my alone trips with the kids and where to take them, assuming I get to take them on summer vacations or winter vacations to vegas :)
    5. explore other properties, since so many things changing with my life as I hit the big 40 this week, I'm thinking of switching casinos too....start new memories.

We will see how many of these get done, I will probably be the usual degenerate and be gambling the whole time.

Glad to see a TR from you, Nate! Have a good trip. Have a great birthday!!

I'll be interested to hear how the GoPro goes for you in Vegas. My husband wants one for mountain bike riding and I keep thinking about places I could use it. Craps table sounds fun.

    Enjoy!!!

Do I smell a potential return to MGM coming?

No, they pissed me off again when I approached them this time. They said that if they are going to allow me to bet 70k a hand, then I need to hit the 250k theo mark. If I don't, then they won't give me any comps or airfare. Not a good start to trying to get a customer back. I responded by saying then I will just play 500k level then and I don't need to bet that high, they are ok with that. But after reflection, I realized that why am I offering myself terms to go back when there are so many casinos around? I can also do the Beejay comp yourself system...

Anyways, pretty nuts how these big corporations handle players nowadays. Same thing with Caesars, they said that craps will not be rated for discount; so that essentially kills 1/3 of my action so if I go to check them out I can't play craps. Also that my coding is for Far East Marketing so that I can't change a host or program. So.....if I go to Caesar's my host is in Taipei? Great. The hosts at Caesar's with FEM aren't that great, from my experience last time.

Really happy to see another one of your TR, too bad about the problems with the wife but you only live once and gotta stay happy

Cant wait to see what you will do with the kids. Shark Reef? secret garden? tournament of kings? circus circus? that will be a different trip for you :)
