Pentouse at Aria coming in at ~400/night and Cosmo wraparound at 220. It will be myself and my newly wedded wife on a "minimoon" in september. Thoughts?

Oof. This is a close call. My take is that the room at Cosmo is nicer, and having the patio will be great that time of year. On the other hand, the Sky Suites experience might be more impressive to the new wife, what with the limo, the private lounge, etc. Sky Suites would definitely be more private and relaxing, so I guess it depends a lot on type of trip you're looking to have.

Is 220 for the wraparound a casino rate, upgrade on a comp or something else?

From a room perspective, I like the Sky Suites better in every respect except the balcony/view, assuming you're getting a fountain view at Cosmo. Better bed, better bathroom, better shower, better design, etc...

I think Cosmo has better restaurants and more a of a party vibe. Aria has the better casino and the Sky Suites service is on another level from Cosmo.

Just depends on what is important to you. I can tell you I faced a similar decision and chose Sky Suites.

    sky suite
regular room? vs 1 bedroom vs 2 bedroom

the specific needs to be hashed out, because the sky suites side has regular aria rooms as connectors to their suites. That would not be worth the premium.
A 1 bed room vs a wrap around would be a toss up to me in terms of room quality, but the casino would be the deciding factor.

if you 2 are looking for more peace/quite/relaxation id chose aria
the opposite, party, drinking more upbeat attitude (but comes with a little douchbaggery) cosmo.

restaurants are about equal, spa id say aria, pool id say cosmo.

He said penthouse and that's what I based my response on. If it's not really a penthouse, then that changes the equation some.

I love Aria, but if the Wraparound is on one of the north corners of either tower (ie fountain view), at $220 vs $400 it's a much better value. And probably a better value even without a fountain view.

Service schmervice, ain't no level of service worth $180 a night.

I love the Cosmo patios and the Wrap around was awesome. Without knowing anything else but price, I would take the wrap around and upgrade it to fountain view.

Appreciate if anyone can advise on getting the best room rate for a wraparound. Stayed once, got an offer for 3 comp nights + 1 for Sterling status. Ran $4,500 coin in last time out.

Knowing the above, how would you tackle getting the best room? Ask when booking my comp nights for the best rate? Would tracking down a host be a waste of time at my level of play?

If I can avoid paying $1500 for 3 nights in the wraparound and get it at a better price I would like that!
