A friend asked me today what hotels in Las Vegas have the most slot machines. I thought this should be a snap, but finding the answer on the internet, proved to be an exercise in frustration. I also do not recall this subject ever being discussed recently on the Vegas Message Board. So can anyone please direct me to a website where this info is readily available. I would think that the MGM, Bellagio and Mandalay Bay must be high on the list. Our own favorite hotel The Orleans cannot be too far down this list either.
There is a list on the Wizard of Gaming website, you can see that at: http://wizardofvegas.com/hotels/ I don't know accurate that list is or how often it gets updated - casinos are bringing in and taking out machines all the time and the numbers on the list can probably fluctuate up or down by as much as 300-400 machines... but the list is pretty good for getting a good general idea of whats out there.
Interesting, thanks. I'm surprised at the relatively lower number of machines in a few places I'm familiar with, such as Ballys, Caesars, Flamingo compared to many of the off Strip places.
If you compare the casinos though... like Caesars has A LOT of wide open space in their casino and plenty of room between machines. Then a place like Venetian, which has twice as many slots as Caesars, they've got machines really packed in there where in some spots its hard to move around. And then finally a place like Golden Nugget which has almost as many machines as Caesars but only a fraction of the casino floor space and you can really see how they have the machines really packed in there tight and are using almost every square inch of casino space.
Yeah golden nugget is packed so tight it pissed me off trying to play there. Their chairs are way too big to pack the machines that tight, imo. Or at least it was that way in 2011. I totally skipped the nugget this last trip.
Interesting numbers. I would have ordered them differently. Guess the layout of the casino really throws off one perspective.
