The more I think about this you're correct... I was initially intrigued with the Twitter suggestion, but you're correct... keep it simple to start

Agree with Smartone. This is aggravating, but not something to keep you from what I agree is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Hope you get it back.

For people who don't travel/vacation much don't realize how often mistakes.
Or people who travel a lot may have never experienced any issues.
Or they aren't aware how easily problems can be remedied simply by giving them a call.
With 40+ trips to Vegas I would be curious to know if the OP encountered any issues on the previous 40+ trips.

One of the worst problems with the resort fee is the fact that it may or may not apply to comped nights at all mgm hotels. It gets more confusing on sometimes or sometimes not on Myvegas rooms. I think I got burned by NYNY this week. Somehow I lost 11,000 mlife tier credits and was told by the players club it was because I used Express Comps to pay the 3 nights of resort fees????

Wow, so many of you are coming to the defense of Aria. I think charging customers inaccurately and having them waste their time trying to correct it is just bad business. Yes, people make mistakes but the OP has a right to feel inconvenienced and not like it. Sometimes customers don't catch the mistakes nor have the time to fix it them.

I haven't stayed at an MLife casino in years, probably 10 or more. LVH is my home hotel and haven't experienced any problems in the past.
Just kinda rubbed me the wrong way about this stay at Aria this time.

    I agree with Smartone.
I have had incorrect charges on my bill at numerous hotels including the mini bar.
I fought with Harrahs in AC for months before they finally got my bill right.

Give them a chance to fix it.

shit happens all day with all bussiness , supermarkets onsale itiems not regestering, i always go down the nite before and check and confirm if i have any balance due and what it is , this helps alot so im zerod out in the morining

give them a chane to resolve it.its not a big deal, lets see how the respond and go from there, its not like they slamed you for a million dollars or like one person got 100,000 $ electric bill by mistake.

who know maybe they will ofer you something for your trouble

also go to trip advisor see if when people make coments if there gm or somebody responds thats a good way to get something on the back end from them for your troubles

its funny when they upgrade you to a better room nobody complains but if something happens give them a chance to make right before you destroy them

I don't understand the statement "my credit card company was powerless", this is exactly why you use a credit card to pay for things, it gives you the right to dispute a charge for a service you did not receive

After our recent stay at Aria, my mother found out when she got home that they charged her for the mini bar, too. Seems like the same amount posted above which was equal to everything on the counter! We had stood in line the morning we left to check out just to make sure there were no extra charges and to get an itemized printout/receipt. So the mini bar charge occurred while the maid was cleaning the room after we left. I wasn't too surprised when I heard this as my Mom is a complainer (and never tips housekeeping) and had complained to housekeeping twice during the stay, probably getting someone in trouble. Aria even gave her an additional $50 credit to the room during our stay due to her complaints.
But I did feel sorry after-checkout charge happened to her and the aggravation she went through to get it removed. So along with electronic glitches, I believe there is sometimes bad employee behavior too..
Oh, and she still loves Aria!

Yes, at times I believe, for all of us. Although in Mom's case, I'm the one that noticed the dried toothpaste-spit drops on the bathroom sink that the maid missed and she went on to note how dusty the room was and I can't remember what else. So she called for a re-do. We had waited in the Cafe for quite a while for the room to be ready in the first place. When she called, the 2nd housekeeping shift was on and we learned from the (excellent) gal that came up to reclean the room that Aria only gives the morning shift 30 min. for one gal to clean each room. And as she pointed out just doing the beds takes a while, and then to scrub those huge shower/bath areas too before getting to the rest of the room. I see what she means; not enough time. Plus, we showed up on a Tues right after a big March Madness weekend. So I asked the gal if they had big groups of guys cramming into and destroying the rooms and she said 'ohhh yes!' This gal was middle age, from Hong Kong with broken English and the most professional, efficient maid I have met! Very pleasant and knowledgeable (British influence I'll bet). She informed us that her shift was more focused on hospitality while the morning shift was the younger gals that had to do the real fast grunt work. She tipped us off that the slippers were free to take (not the robes tho) and we could request turn down service for no charge, too, and that includes the nice boxed of chocolate which she had given to us. Mom tipped her.
Can't remember If....ah, now I remember; My aunt Charlotte misplaced her cell phone at checkout and went back to the room (Mom's room) where she sweared she left it. The morning maid was already cleaning and nothing was found. So she called up security to report while we were outside in the car wondering what was taking so long. I think maybe the gal got questioned/accused and that lead to the mysterious late mini bar charge. Of course cell ended up in a bag in the car but you know how that goes; 'senior moment' she blamed!

30 minutes is usually how long many hotels give their housekeepers to clean a room. Suites/Villas get a longer time duration, but regular rooms is generally 30 minutes.

    "somehow" you lost it?

you didnt really get burned...you just dont understand how the Mlife system works.

I think 11,000 TCs is an exageration too...that comes out to $440 dollars...$150 resort fee? I think not

there is more to this story...did you initially pay a deposit and then get stuff comped off? did you use ECs to pay for the whole thing? resulting in a refund of your deposit?

DeMoN, the person who made the mistake originally is still at fault.

Sometimes things get messed up and this might be one of those things that would fix itself on its own after housekeeping took inventory or whatever. If it doesn't resolve itself quickly and the customer has to take the time to get the charges removed, Aria should give the customer a little bonus for making the customer waste their time. To the person asking about fault, it is not the customer's fault if the company is putting bogus charges on the bill, it doesn't matter who does or doesn't notice it.

I stayed in the Hilton in San Diego right near the airport. Dropped my rental off and walked to the hotel. The hotel charged me $21 for parking even though I had no car. I called them up and it was removed. It's not that big of a deal. Mistakes are going to happen. Getting upset will only make life more difficult for you.

Truth be known, there might be some dried toothpaste spots on my sink at home. If I saw that in a hotel, I'd either tough it out or get a washcloth and clean it myself in 30 seconds. I'm not going to inconvenience myself over something trivial on vacation. But that's me. I'd don't like a smoking room while others can deal with that just fine.
