    Good evening guys and gals,

Who has some Baccarat experience at casinos on the strip?
I'm looking for No Commission Baccarat on the Strip, which casino has this and what are the minimums? $50 minimum would be great.

I love this game at my local casino and I've basically given up on Blackjack. Haha..

Most midi tables in Vegas will keep track of commission and let you pay it in the end. Most mini tables will let you place money next to your spot and the dealer takes care of the commission on their own. Finding a no commission game on the strip is going to be challenging. While a no commission game is fun it is more expensive than paying regular commission.

EZ Bac is not popular in Vegas. The game did make its appearance but they have been taken out and reverted back to regular commission based baccarat tables. Harrahs had it. Mandalay Bay had it. Cosmo had it. Wynncore tried it and the clientele immediately rejected it.

MB had EZ bac 2-3 years ago. I personally hate EZ bac, damn dragon 7. I haven't seen it on the strip since then.

    I would check downtown.

Oh what's the difference? I thought No Commission would be better, but with commission, what's the difference?

You are much better off paying a commission. With no commission baccarat aka EZ Bac with the Dragon 7 means that when you should win on that Banker with three card totaling 7 yet instead your win becomes a push. Say you are betting $200 on Banker and that Banker wins with three cards total to 7. With regular commission bac you win $190. Yet with no commission bac your bet becomes a push. So what would you rather be having? Win that $190 or save that $10 on the commission and forgo a $190 payout. No commission bac slows the game down A LOT because there are constant changing of chips to smaller denominations being thrown towards these Panda and Dragon 7 bets. Very frustrating. Also imagine a scenario when the shoe experiences many ties where you bets get pushed as well. That Dragon 7 may not show up much but when it does in combination with those Ties it is very annoying.

This was why the Wynncore immediately went back to regular commission baccarat. The whales/high rollers despised it because sometimes their huge Banker wins that should be a payout becomes a push. Imagine a $25,000 bet that you should of won is not. Also with no commission baccarat the Pair Bets were removed.

If you enjoy that no commission baccarat you are much better off playing in the East Coast casinos especially in Atlantic City since it is the dominate version of baccarat there.

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch, of course. I believe the trade off is that if the banker bet wins with a three card 7, the banker bet is a push. For a banker bet, no commission is slightly better than standard baccarat, but only by a few hundredths of a percent, if I'm not mistaken.

$50 min tables can be found in most casinos (sometimes $25, depending on casino). If you play at Aria or Bellagio, HL is $100 usually. Other top tier casinos are $300-500 min in HL (V/P, Wynncore, etc.). Some casinos have $25-50 depending on the day.

Ceasar's and V/P had/has EZ...according to a friend that plays mostly EZ. We have a lot of EZ tables here in SoCal.

Same, local casinos where I live only have EZ bac. It's easier to pay $5 bet with no commission. I remember playing in Chicago, they took commission after each hand which slowed down the game and gets annoying.

You can use this same example to make the opposite argument. In regular baccarat you'll be paying 5% commission for the 20 other banker wins while in EZ you don't and just push one bet instead. Same difference.

As thecarve noted the house edge in EZ Baccarat is actually slightly less than normal baccarat. This is because the effective commission is only P(dragon 7) / P(all banker wins) = 0.022535/(0.022535 + 0.436118) = 4.91% instead of the typical 5%. (probabilities taken from Wizard of Odds)

And from a practical perspective I think EZ Baccarat is better as well, especially if you are a hit and run type player. You are much more likely to see banker wins that are not dragon 7s versus ones that are, so in short term play you have a better chance of paying zero effective commission for your entire session (i.e. never dealing with that dragon 7 push). I played this game in AC recently and liked it from all these perspectives, i.e. the math and the practical game play benefits. But I did feel like it was a dumbed down version of the real game for stylistic reasons so if I were playing serious money or on a big table I think I'd like to play the normal commission version as well.

You can only offer no commission in EZ-bacc (since the house advantage is built in through dragon 7 push)

No commission bacc is not possible because with a commission rate of about 3% or lower the game actually turns has no house advantage or even player advantage (a few casinos have tried no commission bacc in the past as a marketing tool to attract play, but quickly learned the hard way)

At $50 minimum bet, you can play midi bacc at Palms, and big bacc may still have $100 minimum bet at Caesars. That way you can squeeze the cards.

Commission at first will seem like it is is complicated but after you do it a few times you will find it is very easy to calculate and complete. The dealer will handle everything for you. The easy way to calculate for small wagers is to remember that for every $5 bet you owe .25 commission. 1 red chip equals 1 quarter commission.

I stayed at Orleans a couple of months ago and they had EZ Baccarat at $10 minimum. I thought it was pretty cool with no commission until I had $50 on banker and the triple-7 came up. I left the bet on banker and the next hand was a player win. Now I don't like EZ Bacc very much!

I actually feel EZ bac plays more hands per hour than a regular bac game.

I do not play often, but I don't mind playing either. Although, I do hate playing regular bac and as felt my last chips and start to walk away, am quickly reminded I still owe $XXX amount of chips for commission...feels like salt added to the wound...lol

You can find no commission bacc at Rio and the Boyd casinos (Gold Coast and Orleans).
