I am thinking of buying a couple of hard mixed drinks at Aria/Ceasars when I'm there, charging them to the room and seeing if they comp them for me when I ask after we gamble. My limit for gambling is $100 per day, boyfriend's is $200. I wonder if they would comp them. They cost virtually nothing to make at probably $2 but they charge almost $30! Has anyone had any experience with this?

Worth a shot. I also am in the same mindset any time grabbing a couple overpriced drinks at bars and charged should be compd at end of trip if you gambled.

Since we have excess comps....I just pay with points at the pool. In your case, if you leave a credit card at check in for room charges, it would depend on how much $$ you actually run thru the machines at that property (or any CET casino). The clerk would always apply any available earned comps before a host could review & rate your play. We usually have $200-300 a day each to gamble (low rollers...lol) and never had a host even tho I am Diamond with CET.

It's definitely worth a shot, but it's unlikely you'll get them taken off. Despite the markup, $30 is still what goes on the bill, and unless you guys get really lucky, you're probably not going to generate $30 in comps on your gambling budget. No reason not to charge it to the room and give it a try, though.

Agree with this. You're probably only going to generate ten bucks in comps anyway. But it won't hurt to try. If possible, make sure the room is in your BF's name. That way, when he charges them to the room and tries to have them comped, at least he has more play to show the casino. Ultimately, however, you're probably paying for those drinks

I think in this case I might just sneak in a beer if I can get away with it and call it a day. I can't imagine paying that much for a drink I can get for "free" at least when I'm gambling. It's a vacation though so maybe I might buy one at the pool but it will have to be a $10 beer and not a mixed drink. The sun beats you up if you drink in the sun anyways and I don't want to be exhausted after dinnner. Too bad, I will have to have a bloated beer belly and suck it in LOL sucks being a girl sometimes :p

Keep in mind too that tips are not comped unless you are a very big fish. If you hope to have charges comped off your bill at checkout, you might want to pay cash for the tips, or at least expect to pay them in the end.

Check if there are any specials - early morning - or even buckets of beer.

Some places even have souvenir cups for about $30 and those are often (at Flamingo anyway) poured with more alcohol...so its a better deal.

not to burst your bubble but the answer at cearars is no, they will us your rc credits first at your level of gambling your not getting much and at aria they will us your ec credits, so what ever you get in gambling will be taken in those 2 ways, your staying at 2 of the most top tier properties and your gambling budget of 100 and 200$ isnt anything to them but hey its free to ask.good luck

No way. I'd recommend mixing a drink in the room.

I played at CET last weekend. In 3 days I had 3100 points earned (including bonus), which sounds like over $15,000 coin through the machines. Added to my previous points made from a 2 day trip, I hit platinum level. After my own comp points reduced the bill, I had $39.00 owing, and I do have a host appointed to me from Planet Hollywood.

I went to the Diamond check-in where the hosts were. I asked if they could remove my $22 per day resort fee, since it's a perk with platinum and I earned it on my first day. They said no, once attached to a folio it can't be removed.

I asked if they could review my play. They did, and said they couldn't do anything for the $39.00 left, go to counter and pay.

WTF? First time I've gone to the host counter. Does the above sound reasonable? Did I do something wrong, or just get a chick in a bad mood at counter?

I'm not feeling hopeful for you to comp off the back end based on this Alana86......be prepared!

Did you earn 1,000 bonus on one of those days or did you get the 125 bonus?

Anything that can be charged to the room can be comped. At your gambling budget level will it be comped? Not likely. My rule is to never buy or charge anything that I wouldn't have normally. If it's comped on the back end, great! What it costs them versus what they charge has nothing to do with it. The pool's bar still needs to show $30 in revenue for that drink. Yes it's all the same company in the end and it's all on paper, but all departments have budgets to meet and that's how internal account like this goes. It doesn't hurt to charge it to the room as Aria at least you'll get Tier Credit points for your purchases should it not be comped. Never gamble for comps. You'll lose a lot more than $30 gambling trying to get it comped.

anything can be comped , but cets rule is they us you rc credits first . and 3100 tier in 3 days isnt much to them , where u on a comp room if so theres your answer alone you have to pay off your comp first before anything else, so if your room was comp say you have to pay 600$ of room costs before they can conisder anything else.

then did you lose or make anything has an effect lose 10 grand they will help you more. its just a bussiness.

unfortunaly you where booked before you made platnium so the offer u where booked at had the resort fee. they usualy cant change that maybe some top guy could , but what ever your booked in at, one thing you could have tried is play before you checkin and made platnium and ask them to wave it that way ive heard its been done but cet is pretty strict.

When you get an upfront comp like an offer email for free nights, does that affect the discretionary comps? I'm guessing it just means I played at the same or higher level that got me the upfront comp? Which is true in both hours logged and avg bet compared to last time. Last week host at Cosmo told me "you've played enough to cover the room, let's see what else I can do." Previously they've never told me that but this is the first time I've stayed on a comp as I used Marriott points or paid for the room in the past. I then thought maybe that means I played enough to see another offer in email soon. Sure enough, 2 days ago another offer covering Sun-Fri instead of Sun-Thurs like I've received in the past.

Yes our rooms are comped for the entire stay. I think I will consider charging Aria drinks to the room (if we buy any) and pay at Caesars if we buy any. I appreciate your responses. I know we aren't high rollers but I was thinking if we spend $600 between the two of us in 2 days it would be enough to comp a few drinks. I wans't sure.

sorry not at any of those places maybe at orleans or gold coast or downtown but as every one said charge all to the room as you get credit for everything spent

why would u charge aria to the room and not ceasars makes no sense. just charge all you wont get anything taken off but you will get some rc or ec credits anyway. aria is propaly a harder comp than ceasars
