    I know some of you are very knowledgeable about the codes on Boyd mailers. I am not since I always book through my host, but I still receive the mailers every month. Now I'm curious. What does G0714MC mean? Where is that on the food chain? The actual mailer is for 4 nights, $75 in FP & 24 meals based on double occupancy.

    From Suncoast I get crappy offers for 2 nights and $25 per day in food. Mailer SJF4C08.

    The only thing I use the mailer for is the free play. Our rooms & food are all comped through the host.
    Edit: OK, I just got August offer I and I figured out that the second two digits are the month. G084MC. So G is a level and MC?

    Joe, your "tier", is "C", which is the 3rd tier at MSS (out of 11)
    That actually shocks me, your not a tier 1...

    I don't know? No complaints from us on the way MSS treats us, I was just curious.

    I have put in, in-depth research about the way casino marketing works, and it sounds like MSS, as long as you have three high-play consecutive trips, then KEEP that high-play level, you will get a silver/gold card from a host (which they have to get approved by the GM).
    Sounds like this was the Bill Boyd way...rather than the Jackie Gaughan way (downtown Vegas + Sams Town have very similar marketing strategies vs. Suncoast/GoldCoast/Orleans)

    Our play doesn't vary much from trip to trip. 4-5 nights and 45-60k coin in. Never play on the last morning.

    Our play is almost identical to Joe's and we have been at the "C" level for a long time. The August offers that were just posted dropped us all the way to "F". We've been to Vegas but stayed at 4Q for a tournament so the last trip to MSS was in Jan. 2013. Our July offer was at the "D" level (I think, can't see the offer right now) which is 4 nights, $50 FP and no food. I called Ipo and she hooked us up with the usual silver card despite the lack of any food on the actual offer.

    I booked one night in June just to get the $50 FP. I'll probably still play there that day but it won't be the usual 10,000 tier points.

    Wow - I'm an F, thought I'd be a little higher considering I average 8K-10K tier points per day on my 3-4 night stays (typically between 24K-32K points earned per 3-4 night stay), which is about 5K/day + less than Joe's average. I did have run of the house food (never issued a card, just comped against the room) which I believe would be considered Gold Tier at Fremont (any restaurant including 2nd Street). I believe I racked up 30K points in two nights to start getting those offers. If Fremont offered decent sized rooms / bathrooms I'd consider staying there. I don't like the noise at MSS, and we know more of the staff and enjoy the rooms best at The California.

    The Cal previously comped $50 food + 3-4 nights, now I get 3 nights and $25 in slot dollars. I get comped food from the floor or via points anyway, and I still get tournament offers, including one in three weeks. Orleans gave me more as I think I averaged 20K points per day going on tilt playing $1 Ultimate X and the other game with four hands. Gold Coast consistently gives 2 nights. My only comp stay there was in a suite in what I call the 70s room (shag carpets, wood paneling), but it was nice.

    I like the dining options best at the California (Redwood & Market Street Cafe).

    What does silver card get? (Everything but Redwood?) I never work with a host. I only take what I get mailed and what I ask the pit. I'm on a tournament but maybe I should ask as well. The one thing I try to avoid is taking all meals on a property and never leaving, which is what they want you to do which is why they don't mind giving out a few sawbucks per trip (food at cost) to keep you on site 24 hours/day.

    Excludes Redwood & Second St and back in the day, it also excluded the Pullman. Oh I miss that place.:cry:
    It's been a while since I had a Silver, but iirc, it includes Pasta Pirate.

    Joe---I am just guessing after doing very shallow research that C=emerald (you) and B=sapphire (me) as my offers start with "B" but that is only a guess. 3 night offer from the Cal with no free play or food is B084MJL. and it does look like 08 is the month as it is for August. Would like to know what MJL could be also.

    Are we sure about how the “levels” work? If it is as explained, then I’m an “F” as well. And I have a grand total of about two hours of rated play at MSS and <4500 points total. One wouldn’t think you and I would be on the same level.

    At MSS, if I get a tournament offer for VP or slots, they tell me I have to choose between my free play or the tournament, but can't do both. I don't book our trips around tournaments, but sometimes they coincide.

    No
    B = The Cal (is the property the mailer came from)
    08 = The month the mailer is good for
    4 = has to be the year, as it used to be 14 there
    J = Tier level (Level 10, out of 11)
    L = haven't seen that one before..

    Now, im not sure how many tiers Cal has, but I know MSS has 11 (A through K). Which is the last digit of your mailer code...mine is the same code, except "G" to denote MSS, and no "L" at the end...perhaps they have you coded as a local?

    And on the other comment about being a level "F", yes, its quite possible...a lot of factors play into that offer code.
    Hell, my wife got an H, and she literally gave them like $100 worth of 25c 9/6 job at the bar...

    Perhaps for The California F is my Tier instead of M (My code is B084MF). I'm a Sapphire, I earned 35K points on over 5 nights (2 at Orleans and 3 at California - I really only played 4 nights total as I checked in near midnight for one of the 5). On most trips I average 7K-10K tier points per night.

    Orleans Codes:
    Q4SL061 - Q (Property), 4 (Year), SL (Slot Tour), 06 (Month), 1 (1 Rank or Tier?)
    Q1403BA - Q (P), 14 (Year), 03 (March - June), BA (? $50 Slots and Food - Can either be rating?)
    Q4SL071 -Q (P), 4 (Year), SL (Slot Tour), 07 (Month), 1 (?)
    Q4BJ071 - BJ (Blackjack Tour), 7 (Month), 1 (?)

    Gold Coast:
    P14Q6SD = P (Property), 14 (Year), Q (?), 6 (May or June), SD (?)

    I'm quoted the same and always choose the tournament.

    My Cal average is less than say my Orleans average over the last trip or two, though I believe I earned at least 6-7k per day at The Cal. I'm going to try to bump up my average by playing $1 instead of $0.25, but I quit (or will go to quarters) if I have a bad start. I typically rack up lots of credits during sessions when I'm even or ahead. I try not to chase and I'm OK with a lower average rather than gambling when I'm not doing well, am possibly tired or not enjoying gambling.

    Thanks for confirming. Pasta Pirate serves basically the same food as Redwood, but the service is typically better at Redwood and we love the bartenders there (and also at the San Fran bar and the bar upstairs when it is open). Also love Boars Head and 777 when we can get in there. I guess I can be found at the bar (or at the machines near the Craps table at Cal or the entrance at MSS when not at the bar). :thumbsup:

    Interesting. I received 3 nights at MSS restricted to Sun-Thu for October + $10 food per stay - G104MJ - Nothing yet for November.

    Also two offers for 3 specific nights (MSS or Cal) + 10k slot tournament.during September. No offer code for those

    Sam's Town a ton of offers, best is for 5 nights during a specific date + dinner + orchestra - I4JDSE
    Generic offer for September is I0914SG.- good for 3 nights + $15 food

    I've given Sam's Town 8-10 k a day compared to 5k average at MSS if anyone is curious. Stayed at Sams Town just a couple weeks ago so maybe they just bumped me to E from G if that's the tier?
