I was at work yesterday and one of my colleagues was on crutches. Apparently, he was in Las Vegas last week for a conference of some sort. He finally had a free time when the conference ended at noon. He was staying at the Venetian and decided to walk the strip. At the Quad he was walking by the Guy Fieri's restaurant and then man, who according to him must have been 4 bills, swerved right in front of him on a motorized cart. This gentlemen proceeded to run over his foot and broke 3 bones. Apparently, the man had forgotten his doggy bag and was rushing back before they threw it out. My colleague had 3 bones in his foot broken and ended up spending eight hours in the hospital. He had to fly out the next morning. I felt really bad for him.

That's awful! Really sucks for your coworker. At least it wasn't you!

Ouchie! It's awful to get sick or injured in Vegas. I think we've all been there or are a couple degrees of separation from someone who has.

Once a friend in Vegas was walking and missed the curb. She thought she was right at the edge, but caught it with her heel, the front of her foot dropped down and SNAP! Emergency room visit for a broken heel. :(

That sucks. I feel for your friend. This time exactly one week ago, I was about half-way thru a two hour surgery to put my right tibia and ankle back together after I fell off an eight foot ladder Friday night. Two metal plates and some screws were put in. Even though this is the third time I have been forced onto crutches to ambulate, this time is a lot more difficult because I am a lot older. I cannot imagine trying to get home from LV with a bunged up foot. I hope your friend is home and recovering now.

Sorry to hear about your injury. He will recover; he is young. I will have to say that some of the scooter drivers should not be behind the wheel. I was on a HAL cruise about a year or two ago and I was almost hit 3 or 4 times.

Yeah, I have had a couple of run in's with "hover rounds" myself. I understand that mobility is important to those that aren't able to walk themselves, however, it should not come at the expense of those that can walk. Also, being drunk is not a legitimate medical reason to have one. I think they should require a special drivers license before you can rent one.

Also, last month at around 4am in Bally's (after Drai's let out) there were 2 20 year old ****** bags who obviously had too much money, and were in perfect health having a demolition derby in the casino with them. Was funny for about 1 minute then it quickly got out of hand.
