Graduation is 10 am Saturday morning June 7th and I'm on a jet plane 6:30 Sunday morning! Vegas Baby! I usually would not attend graduation, but it happens during our workday this year and we are required to go. Whooppee!
Going to Vegas with two friends I consider family. My dad passed five years ago and they have been trying to get me out of town for a few days every since. I'm taking care of mom now and it's difficult to get away. Mom told me I needed to get away and friends came through with rooms.
Flying out on SWA from Houston, $320 pp round trip
Staying at Flamingo Grand Vacations 6-8 thru 6-12!(friend's wife travels for work and got rooms free with points).
Rental car thru Dollar--$12 a day plus fees and taxes = $89 total for a full size.( I'm paying for rental since I got a free room and show tickets)
Gotta do a few things together-- Clint Homes Sunday afternoon, MJ One, Breakfast at Peppermill, breakfast at EAT downtown, Pinball Hall of Fame, Komex Fusion Express, and Lola's are on the schedule. As you can see, I love to eat. Not into expensive gourmet and we prefer not to eat in casino's if possible. We really wanted to see HUMAN NATURE in concert, but they will not be in town when we are!
Otherwise I plan to chill in a sports book, bet the horsies, play a little Blackjack, and chill! I do not have the bankroll I wanted to play a lot of vp due to responsibilities here. I know most people don't go to Vegas to rest, but I really want to do just that, been a while since I've had a break and teaching school has really gotten seriously nuts the last couple of years. The tank is empty, absolutely nothing left. I AM TIRED!! Besides, I do not want to get back home in need of a vacay due to my vacay!!

I am really looking forward to getting away for a few days. Will post highlights when we return! Thanks to all that post and provide info on this board!

Awesome job with the update Sonya!
