. . . anyone stayed in one yet? From the looks online, the new décor is nice and modern. Are these rooms on specific floors? Also, has the O changed to wifi instead of wired yet?

The O had been my "home" from 2004-2012 and I still get great comps from them. The last offer I received may woo me back to try one of these remodeled premium rooms.

Will be there soon. My understanding is that they redid a full tower and will eventually convert all rooms. And my impression was that they did have wifi.

Stayed 3 nights in may and upon checking in was asked if I wanted to upgrade for 5 $ a night. I declined as I have stayed in them and went for the 7th floor instead. Wifi was told was available (weak signal but functional) with your room number and last name as password.

Yes, it has a safe. Stayed in one 3 weeks ago.

The bed was real fine too. I have another picture of the room. When I get home I'll post that one too, it's facing the bed.

At check in I was told we could upgrade our room for $10 a night (4 night stay, $40). I told the girl I'd rather give her $10 instead, and she said fine, you're all set in a new premium room.

Having stayed there dozens of times, I think I'm correct in saying that ALL rooms have safes. Some are located in a nightstand and others on a shelf in the bathroom.

Have to say the remodelled rooms do look quite nice. Guess I'm not as loved as I used to be as my latest email from the O (yesterday) offers us an upgrade to them for a mere $24/night (or an executive suite for $89/night) on a 'standby' basis. Those are comped nights though and this is prior to check-in so maybe that's why such a difference in 'upgrade' costs? Older and slightly tatty will do us unsophisticated Europeans quite nicely though = more money for the casino floor :)

We stayed at Orleans back in February on 2 comp nights. I specifically asked for a renovated room. At the time it cost us an additional $11 per night, but I did not mind because I was anxious to see the changes. Currently it is the north tower that has been renovated. The pics from NickyDim's room are just what we had also. We did have a safe. I don't know exactly where it was at but it was not in the bathroom!

Cool......"new" pocket doors. This is the only hotel anywhere I have ever stayed with a pocket door for the bathroom :):):)

The new decor looks nice. Haven't been there in four years but still receive offers, may have to head back for a couple nights.

I stayed in a Premium room in February and have one reserved next week, but get this … I just received an email from the Orleans reconfirming my premium room reservation and offering e-standby upgrades at "reduced" prices. They include "Add a Strip View" $31 vs. $50, "Executive Suite – One Bedroom" $84 vs. $120, and "Louisiana Suite – Two Bedrooms" $128 vs. $171. The prices are per night!

As for the Strip View, I've had that a dozen times already without even asking and don't spend over 10 seconds looking out the window, anyway. Hey, I don't even care if it's a Premium or Standard room on my comp, and sure don't need to pay for an additional upgrade. I guess it's nice if you care about such things, however. I'm not griping about anything, just sharing an offer that I've never had before.
