The ads now appear near the login fields and they won't go away.
I am only seeing it when viewing the new Vegas board.

Let me know what browser/device you are using to view the board and send me a screen capture if you can.

    Thanks!

I am using FireFox and here is the ad. There is also another ad which is larger a bit further down the page.
Usually these ads go away after one logs in but not here.

It appears there is an ability to upload photos directly from the PC now.
Unfortunately after selecting the picture there isn't an OK button to click.

    One more thing.
Numerous times I have opened a thread and would log in afterward to make a reply.
After the upgrade, if you log in to make a reply it no longer works and instead an error is returned stating you logged in after the page was loaded.

The more I look the more little ads appearing.

Here is the dialog box for uploading photos. How does it work??? When I click the Select button nothing happens.

I use Firfox with the Ad-Block pluig-in, so I don't see any ads (here and on most other websites).

I do also. On the old format it just placed a black box where the ads were. On the new format, I see no ads at the top. Just the VMB graphic and the rest is just a field of green.

If you are seeing that blue version, there is something wrong. It's green, green, green here. :)

I want to work on the photo uploader to make it more "user friendly"

    For now....

    Capture3_zps96efdf51.jpg

Click on Basic Uploader and it will open the other window for you.

    Capture2_zpsb9d32b57.jpg

Click on Browse, find the file you want to include in your post, and then click "Upload Files" That should insert the photo into your post.

Like I said, still working on the bells & whistles. We will get there.

Buy me a drink or 2 in Vegas and I might be persuaded to share my tale of woe about how this whole thing went from bad to great to bad to great to worse to disaster to heroics to bravery to wow. :)

    No response about the ads?
Is that the new "feature" with this version?

There are only 2 ads on the page. The smaller one near the top and the larger one just below the logo. We had the same ads on the old version, but I'm glad to see they aren't obscuring any of the info like there did do for some users right after we went live.

The Facebook like button isn't an ad. It's so Users can like a thread here on the board and it shows up on Facebook as well.

As for the uploading images, I'm using my Firefox right now (Windows version 27.0.1) and when I click the Select Files, my windows box pops open for me to select a file, then I select a file, and it appears in the upload box with new buttons showing up then... so I'm not sure whats going on there. A lost of this will be explained better when the tutorials are created.

What Sonya posted works out pretty well too. I've been trying for awhile to change the color of the "upload files" button, but have not had any success. :(

My screen is definitely green now. I notice that at first but my subsequent reply on page one does show the green background.
The ad no longer covers the login but it is still present.
Usually the ads I see here are the ones I see on other boards when not logged in.
Here I see the ads even after being logged in.

So there aren't supposed to be any ads if you're logged in? There is an ad but I don't 'see' it.

It seems the whole board moves much slower than it used to. I assume that's because of all the ads. Very annoying. Not to mention that it took me multiple tries to get logged in after the changeover. :(

LVBound, that's not the right version of the board because you're seeing blue and not green. What browser/platform are you using?

You might try clearing cookies & cache for vegasmessageboard.com and seeing if that helps.

Me too. Sometimes I pause adblocker and I'm amazed at how many ads it blocks. It's wonderful.

As mentioned previously when you asked I am using FireFox and although my initial post shows blue, my subsequent posts are green.
The OS is Windows 7 and Windows 8 on another machine.

Based on the above post by SHOCK it appears the ads are now the norm.
And based on the replies from others of the board being a bit slow it appears this too will be the norm.

Oh well, I am sure eventually I will get used to it.

Although the interface may have taken a step back I am here for the content which is always enjoyable.
