    My Trip Report

Our trip started with a one night stay at the Plaza where I was able to hit a Royal within one hour of our arrival. The rest of the day was also good, some hits at the BJ tables, horses and more nice wins at VP.

The next day we moved over to the El Cortez where everything was good until I started feeling a little bad after we checked in and I went to the elevator to go to our room and bang, I was on the floor of the elevator and came to with the paramedics standing over me. The next two days were spent in a Las Vegas hospital with a ton of doctors and loads of testing being done.

The final diagnosis was A-fib (Cardiac dysrhythmia) and not a sever case at that. They were great to me and my wife while I stayed hospitalized at Valley hospital. Getting older has some drawbacks but it's sure better than not getting old.

Ugh, vacation in the hospital. Glad you are ok, and had at least 1 good day.

Yikes! From the title, and after reading about your royal, I expected to hear about the gambling going to hell after moving to the El Co. It was evidently a lot worse than that. Glad you survived and hopefully have things under control. You're bound to have a better trip next time.

Damn! That's scary. Take care of yourself. Hope your next trip is better. (Although that initial Royal was awesome.)

Your harrowing experience was a wake up call for me, as I realized I haven't been too kind to my body lately.....

I assume afib is new to you, so ask lots of questions and make sure you (or your wife) gets all the information you need about it!

Take care of yourself, sorry about the diagnosis. Strange how you start things off well in the gaming dept and then that happens...I find that happens often in my life...the good right before the bad.

Is A-fib endemic to this time of year!? Next week I have two friends scheduled for ablation to treat their A-fib.

Happy to hear that you're all right.

I agree with the others here. I'd take some crappy gambling over a hospital visit on vacation! So glad you are okay!!!!

Pour Miss Jennifer a tall drink from Sonya. That must have been scary for her too.

Yay for the Royal, ouch for the health issue - my worst holiday nightmare. Wishing you a successful journey on your road to recovery and may you never have to go through that again.
