What level of play is generally required for use of house limos. My host takes care of transportation to/from the airport but I am referring to taking trips to other hotels, restaurants, etc. Is this all handled through the host?

My historical level of play prior to my most recent trip was $500 avg bet, 5 hours a day. I specifically asked my host before the trip what the proper etiquette for limo use is.

I do not know what factors are considered in determining who has limo privileges, but I was told I could use them as needed during the trip within reason. I would call down to VIP services whenever I needed one.

    This was at MGM.

If the new regulation passes , which it should. Hotel limos will only be able to go to and from airport and sister properties.

What's the reasoning behind this? It won't bother me as I'm nowhere near that level of play, I'm just curious.

The original licensing agreement with casinos that provide their own transportation was they can not casino comp rides to and from a location, there cannot be a monetary change of hands. So basically they pick who they want to COMP transportation to. If it provided to one, then it has to be provided to all. For many of you that dont know. Many casinos hire limo companies to handle transportation and casino pays the limo companies , so no issues they can go where they want. The last few years casinos that provide transportation have been taking people to malls, movies, other casinos or where ever they want to go, and that is against the agreement. There were allowing them to do as they wanted because of the revenue but now they say it is getting out of hand. the biggest reason is that to have a CPCN # is to track all the owner/investors. They do full background and credit checks and many companies dont want the state to have that info. Even with an exempt CPCN they have to be approved. The casinos are petitioning that the current casinos should be grandfathered in but who knows. As you guys know. money and lawyers control.

For you guys that want to make your comments. I dont drive limos anymore, they wont let me change my Screename. I cant tell you alot of was is going on with the limo regulations, as well as taxi. I just got a grandfathered license that no one else in the state will ever have and waiting on some things to happen.
