Since my last trip to LV (Feb/Mar 2014) and getting to MLife Platinum, I've been getting offers to fly me out to Biloxi and stay at the Beau Rivage. The offers have been to fly me out of Detroit (I'm in Cleveland, about 2.5 hrs away driving). I've been thinking about doing this, as I've never played/stayed at Beau, but then yesterday I received an offer that would actually fly me out of Cleveland, so that made it a no-brainer.

I have family in Biloxi and will undoubtedly spend some time with them while we're out there. But regarding the Beau, any tips/advice? Restaurants any good? Pool/cabanas? Spa? I plan on playing craps and poker while there. I heard the Hard Rock is next door and walkable and worth checking out too. Any insight from anyone who's stayed and played there?

    Thanks,
    TRN

I am going on one of these trips next Monday out of Austin. It will be the fourth time doing it. I have stayed at the Beau Rivage eight times total. Twice post hurricanes.
    These offers are great deals.

The Beau is great. It's like a mini-Bellagio. The poker room has maybe 10 tables. It's nice. The crap tables are usually $10. The blackjack rules have gotten worse. They use to be really good. Now they are not.

The restaurants are good. The buffet is good. Cajun dishes, Krispy Creme donuts on the buffet at breakfast.

The pool is nothing special. But the hotel is right on the beach if you are in to that.

The Hard Rock is nice too and it's a five minute walk.

Who are you going to take? That's one of the great things about this deal is that they fly someone else there too.

Big Tip is correct, think of it as a scaled down Bellagio. By far the premier resort in Biloxi. Great food, pool and shopping. The Hard Rock is right next door and is, IMHO, the second best property in Biloxi. I love the casino at The Beau, very friendly and professional.

I just got back from one of these comped trips and it is a great time. I have been on these offers to the Beau about 11 or 12 times. I agree with all of the other comments about it being a nice property, good restaurants, etc.

One recent change is that the Beau now prefers you to use your express comps for meals instead of making room charges. This really seems to work out a lot easier for me. I had no room charges on this last trip.

All rooms are now non-smoking. Drinks are comped for players, including alcoholic beverages.

I can't imagine anyone not enjoying a free trip to the Beau. In fact, I no longer go to Las Vegas because of the 4 hour flight. I have flown to the Beau out of Dayton, Cincinnati and Indianapolis and it's less than a 2 hour flight.

Thanks for the info, sounds like it will be a blast then! Hoping for some soft touristy poker players in 2 wks :)

Yep the Mrs. will be joining me as well, since they offered to let me bring a guest (probably wouldn't go if she couldn't come too!). Very cool.

I've received these offers a few times out of Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach, but the dates haven't worked out. I hope I will receive the offer for dates that are workable as I'd like to check out the Beau and play golf at Fallen Oak.

I was not able to use my last three offers. Twice I had already made plans to go to Las Vegas with different groups of people during the times. Very ironic.
They give me options too. Sometimes it's for Austin as well as San Antonio airports. This last one gave me a Houston option too. That would be too far though.
This one is not a perfect time for me, but screw it, I'm going.

Fallen Oaks is great. It's not cheap. And they laughed at my $25 bets when I asked what it would take to get a round comped.

I just got back from 3 comped night at the Beau and came home a small winner (about $600 for me and $140 for wife).

My junkets fly from Sanford Florida next door to Orlando and they do charge a $40 fee for each traveler but if you have a high elite status, its waived.
Nice to not worry about standing in line for a room or handling luggage and transport to/from the airport.

The Beau gives each room a couple of bottles of water each day (maid service) and you can pick up a free newspaper at the Bell Desk.
The place has a nice spa on the second floor(also pool floor).

Should you want to travel to other Biloxi casinos(besides Hard Rock), there is a shuttle type vehicle which charges $1.50 per person each way you catch in front of the Beau.

Pic gives an idea of the pool area.

HL room is nice and CW service is super throughout the casino. The Breeze Bar near the center aisle has good attentive bartenders and is great for VP and coffee and Baileys early in the AM.

Hi TRN! I live 4hr away from the Beau and go 4-5 times a year. I make a couple Vegas trips, also. When I go to the Beau I valet park and do not see my car again until I'm ready to leave! IMO, the spa is better than Mandalay Bay. What is unusual, the facials are considered Salon services? But the "Royal Royce" is THE BEST facial I've ever had (and that's a lot :ssst:). BR Prime steakhouse is better than Stripsteak @MB...it is the best meal I've had. JIA is VERY good and I really like the buffet. THe roasted Bean coffee shop has refillable coffee & soda AND beignets. I actually love the pool....it does get crowded in summer but I'm not swimming laps :faint::grrr: They have a grill (with frozen drinks ) and chair service at the pool...I like being lazy!

The Hard Rock is a nice short walk and I do give them some play...NEVER won anything!

There is a very good seafood restaurant a short walk (couple blocks) - Half Shell Oyster house. There is always a wait but worth it!

Sorry for the long response! I hope you give it a try and enjoy! :drunk:

Have to second the Half Shell Oyster House opinion. They have a new dish called the seafood pot pie, which my wife raved about, but I like the traditional fried oysters.
