aside from the day clubs or pool party's what hotels have the best pool for lounging with music playing and not tripping over each other?

It's just an impossible riddle. The best pools get crowded because they're the best. Mandalay Bay is a great pool, one of the best in Vegas but it gets crowded.

My favorites are Wynn and Caesars. Not quite as nice as mandalay bay but calmer and less crowded. Venetian is very nice, too. Flamingo is a nice pool but gets a bit rowdier than Wynn.

    Indeed a riddle.

The best balance is to find that second-tier pool that doesn't get AS crowded.

I keep looking at MC as such an option. Flamingo, MGM, MB, Mirage, all nice pools, but they get hammered with people.

Lol, that all depends upon the person. haha. My favorites are Plaza, Binions, Orleans, and LVH, in that order. I do not like kids, I do not like being packed in like a sardine, and I dont like music so loud that I cannot concentrate on my book. A couple of times Binions about dropped off the list because of the music level. Both the Plaza and Orleans have kids, but there is enough room to get away from them.

We loved the Oasis pool at Mirage last year. Set off from the main pool and very quiet and relaxing. They were supposed to charge us $50 per person, but the charge never hit the room bill, so that was a bonus!

I also like nice scenery at the pool. The nicer pools tend to have nicer scenery.

I chilled at Wynn in the afternoons two weeks ago. I was able to park in the sun with my kindle and sit in the water by the bar and listen to the music coming from the 'European Pool' across the way while drinking mojitos. It is honestly my favorite Vegas memory and even though it was only two weeks ago, I am scheming to get back to that pool and casino by the end of summer.

My vote is definitely for the Tropicana. Just stayed there on Memorial Day weekend, and even then it was chill. Virtually no kids, good music, reasonably priced drinks (for a pool bar), and lots of chairs, real grass, and swim-up blackjack. Not a clubby or crazy vibe, more of a traditional Vegas pool scene.

What were the minimums for swim up BJ?

My understanding is that anyplace offering gambling has to offer entry.

If that's true I could go to the pool and was going to Blackjack and enjoy the pool facilities?

RIVIERA!! Yess I just said that. Say what you want about the riviera but their pool is a lot of fun during the aummer/spring on weekends. It's not even really a pool party. They get the food on the grill and get the music playing. To me the riv has the best non pool party/day club pool.
