Does anyone know the normal BJ minimums of the High Roller lounge in the Mirage? Is it 3/2 or 6/5? Thanks!

My info could easily be out of date because it has been almost three years since I played in the high limit there. But FWIW, it was 3/2 and $100 a hand when I played there. It was a weekend in the dead of summer. Like most places, the limits probably go up on busy weekends

    I've never seen a 6:5 table at $25+, maybe I'm wrong.

I've always seen at least one $100 table in there.

The tables are the usual good MGM HL rules:

    DD, S17, double after split

6D, S17, double after split, re-split aces, late surrender

    They are all 3:2

It is usually pretty quiet in there. Dealers are friendly and professional, but not terribly fun. Cocktail service is fantastic as there's usually a waitress assigned to just the HL room, and there's seldom more than a handful of players in there.

At least this was the case in December '13.

They use to have $50 tables over near the host offices that had very good rules as well. Don't know if that has changed over time. I haven't really gamble in their since 2009.

$100 minimum and usually both 6 deck and double deck. As another poster mentioned they have the identical rules directly outside of the room on 2 tables at a much lower minimum. Usually those tables are 25-50 but will go up to $100 if the casino is busy.

If there is a tournament or another promotion finding a solo $100 table can be tough. With nothing in town the whole room will basically be yours. Mirage turned into a ghost town after the opening of Aria.

I think that the number of tables on the main floor with the good rules might be down to only 1 now. It is a DD game, and if you believe what you hear then you'll not play at this table for very long as the general consensus is that it is a there to catch the card counters since it has the lower mins of either $25 or $50. Short sessions are the key if you want to play that table.

I've also noticed that the HL room really seems to sweat the bets sometimes ... much like the HL room @ the TI. I've played there before when all of sudden there are 3-4 suits there watching a game where the bets aren't that high at all when you consider that the min bet is usually $100

I haven't been to Mirage since January but they had 2 tables with decent rules then on the main floor. 1 6 deck and 1 DD. If they are down to 1 now I think that is a pretty poor choice on their part. When they originally switched their other tables to hit 17 they changed them all and a lot of regulars got upset. I have heard the stories about it being a counting trap. I would definitely suggest not trying any AP on those tables.

In regards to sweating the bets I think the additional suits are more of a function of having minimal players rather than sweating the bets.

I was thinking about trying out the HL room at TI on my next trip. I've been speaking to a host over there and considering it. I've played there a couple times but very short sessions passing through. Can you give some opinions on that room?
