just saw abstinthe again. i saw the original version .
i liked the original one better.alot of differnt acts still a great show

this is a heads up row g,h, j on the isle seats can be obstructed view due to the big tent poles now. also rows h.j if your small are hard to see, just keep in mind most off the stuff is done high up so you will mostly be fine

i liked the tent before less clutter and obstructions.

and to put it nicely the seats are regular size fold down do the buffet after or you will not fit in them. the 3 people in front of us needed 4 seats for 3 of them.

    its cramped in there.

Is it right that the seats in the back are better than up close?
    thinking of going in June

yes and no , it used to be that way. you dont want to be to close but now its reserved seating it used to ge genearal addmision , so pick carefuly as some are obstructed

read my suggestion, i would choose middle seat number row g no isles, i think thats the first row of a new section thats a little elevated.

I sat in the back in 2011 when I saw the show. Dunno if the seating has changed but I had plenty of room in the back. No need to get up close.

I recently sat in the very back againt the wall in this comfy ass chair, and I think it's the best seat in the house. Great view, plenty of room to stretch, and was like 5 steps from the bar.

It looked pretty much like this chair:

Great! Who do I tip and what do we ask to get that?!

Close to the bar is perfect.

It's been reserved seats for quite awhile, went there last October and it was reserved seating.

I saw Absinthe again about eight months after my first time, and I really missed the spinning German roller-skating couple. I thought they were the most jaw-dropping highlight of it the first time around, and their absence left a major gap in the show for me. I wondered if they were just on holidays or if they are no longer part of the production. I also couldn't help but darkly speculate that one or both of them might've eventually taken an unfortunate slip and gone flying across the tent in calamity. I sincerely hope not, but the image is potent nonetheless.

Maybe it could have been that an audience member ignored the pre-performance warning and actually stood up and got kicked in the ****ing head. lol

We were at the show last week and had the VIP seats which are the first row next to the stage. Being up front you can expect a good bit of raunchy (but fun) abuse from the MC. If/when we see it again we'll book seats near the back or preferably by the bar as we were constantly looking up at the various acts on the small stage. Regardless, we really enjoyed the show and felt it was one of the best we've seen in LV. Do know however that if you don't appreciate crude humor or non-PC jokes, you may want to pass on Absinthe. For us however we couldn't stop laughing and the acts were amazing.... highly recommended.
