I have a TR card. My boyfriend does not. Can we both use my card, (if I get a duplicate,) in slots at the same time? We go to Vegas together. I do the planning and the booking of our trips. Thanks in advance.

We always have...tables would be another issue. I have never felt I received anything negative because of it. Just know the persons who's name is on the card is the only one who can checkin when using an offer, spend points etc.

I almost think it would be more worth doing this if you are a couple who plan to travel together again. You would probably get better comps if you share a card(s) and put all the play on those cards instead of splitting it into two accounts. We may try that.

My husband and I mostly share my account as I am the primary gambler. He has his own and uses it on occasion. I think it's a better value to use one as long as you travel together.

Thanks. I will get a duplicate when I get there. Maybe we will get better offers next time if we just use one card. I thought he got one last year when we went, but he says no. I think I will have him get one so he can start doing social rewards. That way we have a little extra for our next trip. After he sees that I received over $100 just by sharing and watching videos, I think he will at least do that. :)

Yeah, if you plan on coming back together, it's probably best to just play on one card. At CET, the machines don't care if you have multiple cards in at the same time. I've never been asked by anyone while playing on my g/f's card (we're fleas anyway, so no host is ever interested in our play), but if he would get asked, just saying "she's my wife" or something to that effect should be good enough for them to go back to doing whatever casino employees do.

In my experience, it should not be a problem, but...

Wife and I both play on her card. Every "jackpot" I've hit at CET gets distributed to her, and the W2G is in her name as well. As a married couple filing taxes jointly, this is not an issue. If it was my girlfriend, I'm not so sure. She never goes to Vegas with me anyway :ssst:

    Just food for thought.

You will have problems at Tables and in the electronic games like Rapid Roulette but at slots it won't be an issue.

You won't have any trouble playing slots with the same cards, but you should still get him his own card and put just a couple of bucks through with it in... even just $20 or so is enough.

That way if you do go back to Las Vegas together you can use his card as a companion card. Even if he has zero play on his card it will still hold some value as a companion card number: my wife plays on my card only and hasn't put a single point on her card in about 5 years and our offers are quite better when we add her card number as a companion.

This is exactly what we do. We both play pretty much always on my card, but Hubs has a card and we put a few bucks on it every trip. Having that "companion card" really does make a difference in what rooms you can get comped and for how many days. There are also things that he has to have a card to do, like free slot tournaments and pulls and such, which are worth having it for. We do get a funny look or two when a host or slot manager stops by to say hi while we're playing. The machine has told them that I'm playing a certain slot and when they show up, there's my husband. Luckily, I'm always sitting at the slot right next to him so they figure it out quickly.

I'm surprised to hear that. I thought the W2G is issued to the person who won it (regardless of who's card is in the machine). What if she wasn't with you? They wouldn't keep your money, they would have to pay you. Just my 2-cents, but it sounds like you experienced it.

W2s and CET are funny. When my wife hit her UTH royal, she was on my card (i bought both buy ins and the pit boss marked it so). When it came time to W2 it, she got it in her name her SSN AND she had to present her own TR card. But when we got our won/loss statements at the end of the year it showed that we BOTH won that jackpot, both on her statement and mine.

Strange...At downtown Boyd and 4Q we play on my card. My wife has hit several hand pays and all they want is her ID and SS#. Which card is in the machine has never mattered.
