First meal must always be at Grand Lux in Venetian. Must be "Sunday Night Pasta".

First full morning must eat breakfast at Peppermill.

After check-in, must buy 2 tall-boy Buds at Gift Shop. Must take first drink while standing at window doing my "Vegas Dance".

    1. The week before we go we take a trip to our cabin in the northwoods(no kids/grandkids) relax, do little as possible, OOOOOH yeah, watch Hangover and Viva Las Vegas.
    2. Start taking airborne vitamins to avoid getting sick, never got a cold in Vegas, but have had some rough mornings.
    3. I will typically run a $20 through a machine near baggage claim while waiting for luggage.
    4. Drop bags in the room and find the nearest store for waters and a bottle of JACK for the room.
5 Check out the room and view while enjoying the pre-mentioned bottle of JACK.
    6. Put budget for the day in my pocket and hit the town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    7. CAN'T WAIT TILL MAY 5TH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’ve had a similar thread going in the past I think. Our old ritual was to have a cigarette in the smoke lounge at term D immediately upon getting off of the plane. Now that we don’t smoke anymore, we just head straight for the hotel.

Things we do like clockwork on every trip: eat at Carnegie Deli @ Mirage, visit Bellagio conservatory, watch the fountains at least once and play the stupid promo slot play at Casino Royale (I know it’s dumb but just gotta do it).

Start every morning off with a Starbucks iced coffee

Play the Lion's Share at least once until that thing pops (hopefully for us haha)

Partially ritual, some just me being OCD:

    1. On check-in, we go up to the room and have a bourbon.
    2. Like others, we crank up the A/C and set the fan to high.
    3. If a new property, we walk the entire casino and check out all the restaurants.
    4. If necessary, I will break a hundred at the start of the day, but will not break another.
    5. I arrange all bills by Series and use the older ones first. Of course, they all have to be oriented the same way too.
    6. When playing VP, I only cash out on multiples of $100. The only exception is if I need small bills (See #4), but then I can always get change from slots or craps.
    7. AllNetMom tips the CW's for both of us.
    8. At least once a day, I will play VP to the beat of the music. Sometimes the music is only in my head.
    9. Fish & Chips w/ Guinness. Usually at Nine Fine Irishmen.

Before the trip, I have to watch the Hangover.
Upon arrival, I check in and just throw my suitcase in the room without unpacking it. I usually stay at the Monte Carlo or Mirage, so with either one I head straight to the sports bar for video poker and a bud light.
During the trip, I must go up to Casino Royale for $1 beers. I also like to hit Walgreen's or CVS for Dr. Pepper and Cheetos - my morning sustenance.

I'll take video and snap pictures of the hallway ending on my room number and then I'll video and take pictures of my entire room. I also like to snap pictures of food.
But my one true ritual that I talk about all the time in my trip reports is at some point I have to have a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on Rye with French Fries for good luck.
A Grilled Cheese Sandwich used to be the first meal I would have but since we arrive around 10:00AM Las Vegas time from the East Coast we'll usually have breakfast.
I also have to hit up a Spa at least once during my stay and of course going to a breakfast buffet is a given.

The only real ritual the wife and I have set is eating breakfast at Bellagio buffet when we first get there. This trip we decided that instead of arriving there at 7AM-ish after a 5.5 hour drive, we're going to drive Laughlin the day before and stay the night there. So our only ritual will be thrown out the window.

But thanks to this thread we now have 2 new ones.

    1. Texting the room number to each other.
    2. Checking the Bible for cash.

Weekend before our trip, everyone from our group meets at our house to "practice" for Vegas lol. We spend a great evening drinking, eating, playing Vegas music, talking about past trips and planning for the upcoming one. We have done this for many years.

When in Vegas - First morning it's room service for breakfast. After that we head to Harrah's for the breakfast buffet every morning and to see our favorite waiters Linda or Rudy in the Platinum/Diamond area who have been there for years. We love to walk over from Caesars around 7:30 or 8:00 am when the sun is bright, the air is fresh and the strip is clean and not crowded. Also have to hit Magaritaville for dinner one evening during the week every trip.

I'm with wpete - from now on I will also always text each other our room numbers and check the Bible. Great ideas.

Usually while I check in, John is finding the loudest slot closest the the desk to see if the trip will be lucky. Then we go to the room, unpack (his routine NOT mine!) then depending on the time we might spin a few, but usually just head to Metro Pizza for the first pie of the trip. :)

Only really have the one ... whilst waiting in the seemingly neverending snake to clear immigration we will at some point look at each other and just smile.

    After checking in we...

    1. Check the safe so if we need to have it opened we can call right away.
    2. Unpack quickly
    3. Clean out wallet/purse and stash credit cards, passports, $$ in safe.
    4. Adjust A/C, check the bible
    5. We usually stay at 4 Queens for the first night so we head to Mike's bar. If the Mike's are working and they see us coming, by the time we sit down, they have our beer in front of us. A quick  and we're good to go.

My husband has been checking the bible for the past 28 years (that I know of) and never found a thing. Has anyone ever found money?

The itinerary for our annual guy’s trip hasn’t changed much for over ten years! First, we set up the bar in one of our ‘hospitality suites’. Vodka, tequila, whiskey, mixers, ice, cups, shot glasses, lemons, limes, snacks and some good music. Then, with drinks in hand, it’s off to Carnegie Deli for a good food base. Later that night, we ALWAYS seem to end up at Carnaval Court! The next two afternoons are reserved for the pool!

As soon as I get off the plane and into the airport I stop and say hello to my dad's spirit who took me to Vegas for the first time when I was 8 years old.

Open the door to my room, drop luggage and immediately climb up on the bed and jump up 'n down whispering "i'm here"!! (which is kinda scary now that I'm over 50) :)
