    And so it begins ... the longest period known to modern man ... the two weeks before vacation. Honestly, how can eight hours at work feel like 36? I've got the worst case of Vegasitis and I don't think there's any salve that's gonna clear that up.

    Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. :(

    Two weeks for me as well. I want to hurry up and get there and then find away to slow time when I do. Vegas trips fly by so fast.

    A week. In the grand geologic scale of time, it is a cute little unit of measurement. Not so long as to become repetitious, but just long enough for each day to come and say hello once before departing into the shadow of space and into memory. Seven days; a mere 168 hours is but a trifle before my plane will be boarding. Oh, but when that plane is going to Las Vegas, time transforms itself from the calm companion strolling with us through life into a vicious, soul-slurping demon laughing maniacally as it wraps is foul hand around the clock, squeezing with all of its might until the seconds struggle to pass by at the pace of minutes, minutes turn to hours, and this last week slows until I can watch decaying leaves transform into crude oil before my very eyes.

    Funny how the days leading up to a Vegas trip seems to drag on forever.... then when that long anticipated day finally comes the minutes turn into seconds and the hours seem like minutes.

    Next thing you know it's time to go home.:cry:

    T-minus three days and counting. I've switched from from "time standing still" mode to ... "How will I ever get all the crap done that I need to before we leave?" mode. In my experience an absolutely crazy week leading up to a trip just means that it's gonna be that much sweeter. I keep telling myself none of this will matter when it's 85 and I'm lounging by the pool with my bride. Man, I need this break!

    Come on, Vegas! :headbang::banana::headbang:

    My vegas-itis has already kicked in. I've got 5 5-page papers that stand between graduation and I. Theyre due next week, but I cant for the life of me start them
