I received a call yesterday from an area code/number that I didn't recognize so I followed my normal rule of not answering. Seeing that a voice mail had been left I listened and it was a robo call offering three free nights at the Plaza with a offer code and a toll free number to call. I'm used to mailers with offers but I would think if it was actually the Plaza I would just need to call back promotions and they would see what I was offered (no need for a code). Anyone else get this offer? Actually the Plaza or a "Vacation broker"?
My Vegas buddy got the same phone call a week ago. 3 nights Sunday through Thursday. I guess mailers cost too much when your casino is dead. I miss the good old days of Jackie.
Calls I've been called a few times from someone at the Plaza telling me I had offers, listed them and then said to call when I could go. No pressure, just a FYI type call. Of course they were the exact same offers listed the web site for me.
I noticed a couple weeks ago when I stayed there that the timeshare scam office that caused all the problems with the promo they ran right after the remodel is open again up by the conference rooms. Could it have been them? It is some kind of vacation club. Edited to add: I dont think it is the SAME company as the one that caused all the problems, because it was called Exotic Escapes. This new one that was open had a different name. I didnt get close enough to note it though.
I got that call too, but hung up when I realized it was a robocall. I do remember giving the players club my number years ago. I'd be leery if it wasn't the time share thing again if that place has reopened. That sucks no matter how you spin it.
I wouldn't be too leery. Resorts in AC made those free room robocalls for years. Just call the Plaza directly and make sure it's legit and NO timeshare involved.
I got the call this afternoon. I listened to the whole thing and didn't see anything questionable about it. It's just a different way of marketing.
Our marketing department does call our guests letting them know what offers he/she has earned to assist in marketing. Sometimes, a guest may move to a different address and may not be receiving the offers and may not know. As a courtesy, we have been calling our guests in addition to the mailers.
I got that call a day before I was leaving for Vegas...where I spend my first night at the Plaza (that I paid for). First time I had ever gotten an offer from them. But I finally got my first mailer last week.
I got the same call, I also got the same offer in a mailer. May use that for a late July/early August trip.
If it's a legitimate offer for a free room from the casino's marketing department i'm happy to get a call. It's easy to miss a mailer or forget what address a casino has on file when you move around a lot.
I got the call too. Didn't answer it but. went to voice mail. I listened and hit "7" instead of "9". I deleted it instead of saving. Duhhhhhhhhhhh. Does anyone still have the code and number??
It actually depends on which offer you received. If you give me a call or shoot me an email I can give you more details.
