Hello everyone-I just joined on Friday. I am not set with a room for most of the trip. Thanks to one of my traveling partners I got 5 nights at Bally's at $36 a night. Now I do have to pay that idiotic "resort fee" but it is still a lower rate per day than what I was getting end of last week. I am staying there July 6 to July 11.

I have to get a Saturday night for three people who will be arriving about 7 PM PT on July 5. I am leaning toward the Gold Coast.

I am so excited. I have not been to LV since 2006. In fact I have paid less for this trip than I did in 2006.

Gold coast is fine. Buffet price can't be beat. Quick ride to Bally's too.

Gold Coast has a cheaper resort fee also.

Amazing,I slipped a five or ten (forget) to the desk clerk and the resort fee went away off my bill like magic and we got a little better room.

Welcome to the board and congrats on your trip coming together! I stay at Bally's quite often, as we seem to get our best comps/discount rates there. It's not fancy or anything but I don't have a bad word to say about it. The rooms are comfortable and clean, front desk and housekeeping staff are great. I LOVE most of the guys behind the casino bars. We've had a couple small service issues in the restaurants but nothing to put us off the place for good. The location of Bally's is fantastic, it's probably one of the top selling points of the place.

You'll see LOTS of changes in Vegas since 2006! We were in Vegas right after July 4th last year and had a great time. I will say this tho, it was HOT. Like inside of an oven hot. And I live in Texas, so I know from hot. So be prepared for that and be sure to drink a ton of water, both before and during your visit.
