For some reason I thought I head somewhere (or maybe I just imagined it) that public parking at Vdara was only Valet parking...? Does that ring a bell?

I would assume and hope that valet is NOT required for hotel guests. Can anyone confirm this for me?

    Parking

Having stayed at Vdara in 2013, valet is the only option - since it's not as large as Aria or Bellagio, it doesn't take as long, but can still take a few minutes.

    Hope this helps.

At Vdara, there's only valet parking (no parking garage). Also, you do not have to be a guest to do valet.

If you really need to park your car, I'd park in Bellagio then walk (indoors) to Vdara... Only takes 5-10 minutes!

I thought I had heard you can park in the Aria's self park area in their parking garage?

You can, but it's much farther and there's more open/uncovered space to walk from Aria's parking lot than from Bellagio's parking lot.

When I stay at VDara I park at Aria's garage and the walk is really is not that big of a deal. Aria is very close to VDara.

All you have to do when you exit the Aria parking garage is go down the escalators to the casino, go left and cut across the casino to the exit next to Jean Phillipe where the Buddha statue is. Walk a few hundred feet to the right and you are at Vdara. It is a very short outdoor walk.

Of course you could always park at Bellagio, which would be indoors all the way since they connect, but to me that seems like a much longer walk through the Bellagio casino than from Aria to Vdara. It could be because Bellagio is always so packed that it takes more time to navigate through the sea of people in the Bellagio casino to get to Vdara.

I never use valet, but I have to say my valet experience at Vdara was very good. There was almost never a wait or much of a line of cars when parking, and when I needed to pull the car out of valet, the wait was minimal. The hotel was full at the time. If I return, I would absolutely use Vdara's valet again, the drop point to the elevators is just steps away.

Valet at Vdara is top notch. We stay there for work for 7-10 days at a time.
Never had a problem. Great service.

Compare this to Signature MGM, which we have also tried.
They do not provide call-down service from your room at Signature.
That's a big negative as a hotel guest. The wait we had at Signature was up to 15 minutes sometimes. Vdara the car is always waiting for us. And if they have to run, the garage is close and quick.

Ya, i am not sure why so many people have issue with valet. If they wreck your car you do have insurance........you could wreck it doing self park as well so i don't get it.

I just like the freedom to get in and go whenever I want without tipping at drop off and pick up. If I go out twice a day, that's 4 tips.

The protocol is to tip on pickup only.

I stayed at Vdara last year.

Valet parking was great and is way less time than parking in Aria's garage. It takes a few minutes with no walking compared to 10 minutes and walking all the way through Aria's casino and outside.

    It doesn't compare actually.

some valets joy ride your car if you have something nice/fast. last time (not vdara) they joyrided my 13' S6, I have apr tune, so the car has 560-580 hp. I noticed I had 6 more miles on the car from when I dropped it off. I don't care where your parking, it doesn't take 6 miles there and back.
