Should I stick with Caesars Palace?

Or try a different CET property? I want to use a free play + gift card offer when the husband and I go to Las Vegas for our anniversary next month. We usually stay and play at CP, but I'm wondering if we should try someplace new. We like high-limit slots and nice rooms, but aren't too familiar with the other CET props. Any suggestions?

Now that I'm reading this, I'm wondering if I should take an offer from Wynn for free play and 2 buffets. I think it's their standard introductory offer? I played there a little for the first time last August, but they're only offering $300 in free play and CET is offering $1k.

Probably depends on how important the nice room is to you. CP is probably the best as far as CET rooms, but it doesn't compare to Wynn

If you don't want to harm future comps, you will still need adequate play at both locations, but it would give you a chance to try another property, and take advantage of both offers-

 

I would book both offers and definitely stay at Caesars for you CET offer.

 

Stay @ Wynn, take the CP offer for the free play. Standard procedure. I'm doing the same thing next week staying at Aria and checking in to CP for the free play.

Our CP Palace Tower room was nicer than our Wynn room. Bedroom areas were quite similar but the CP bath was HUGE.

Actually Palace Tower and above are acknowledged as some of the nicest rooms in Vegas--compare to any high end rooms in town.

 

I've now stayed at all LV CET properties except for Planet Hollywood. Caesars is unquestionably the nicest of the bunch. Even the older (Roman? Forum?) towers have very nice rooms. Augustus tower is exceptional.

 

I'm very curious to see how the Encore resort King stacks up against the Octavious Luxury King that I stayed in in February. The general consensus on this board seems to be that all Wynn rooms are nicer than CP, I can't wait to judge for myself!

On a side note, We just got back from the Panorama Suite at Planet Hollywood and were VERY pleased with it, so my room expectations/criteria may not be as high as others here, but my wife's is, and she was really pleased with it!

It's all relative I spose, All I need in the winter is a place to crash for 3 hours to get refueled to go back at it again...In the summer that's why the pool lounge chairs are for , isn't it?

Worst room at Wynn > CP worst room
Best room at Wynn > CP best room
Food & bars at Wynn > CP food & bars

I think the pools are probably better at the Wynn but it really depends what you're looking for I suppose. In that case, they'd be closer to equal.

Almost any non-CET strip caisno/hotel > any CET strip hotel/casino (minus Caesars)

Of course, Cromwell might be setting a new bar.

 

Depending how long you are staying I would suggest taking both offers and breaking your trip up. We usually stay 7 nights and stay at both a CET property and then the Mirage--so get get free play and comps at both.
Also I find it kind of fun and almost a new trip when we change hotels and its like starting over

 

More like any hotel room > CP worst room. CP still stands as the worst room I've ever had in Vegas. Everyone raves about their rooms, but if you book the cheapest room as a low roller, they put you in a hole in the wall.

 

I've stayed in the Augustus tower and it's very similar to Encore standard room. Except Augustus is Jacuzzi tub.

 

Not all Augustus tower rooms have a jacuzzi. I think they call it Augustus premium. They have a nicer bathroom.

 

Other than the CP rooms being larger, the Wynncore rooms are better in every other aspect IMO.

As was I when I stayed there, but saying Michael Jordan was better than Larry Bird doesn't mean that Larry Bird was a bum, just the Michael Jordan was better.

Like I said, I only found the room to be bigger (which was pretty much just wasted space anyways). It was still nice, but Wynncore was still better.

I will add that the view on a North facing Room isn't going to be as good at Wynn Obviously, but the South Facing is still good.

 

Agree with some of the other posters, break up your trip and stay at both.
I have stayed in Augustus rooms as well as Wynn.
Both are very nice, better location with Caesars though, more food options.
If you don't mind spending a fortune on food, then Wynn food options would be fine for you. (Not that Caesars has all cheap eats, but they do have the food court in the forum tower)
The casino is more elegant, but Caesars is an old staple I love in Vegas.
