I just got my first offer from cosmo. 3 free nights, $50 resort credit and $450 promo. I am going to jump on it soon.

How do promo chips at the cosmo work?

They are free money but they suck hardcore nuts. You get to play them once, win or lose.

If your offer states "promo chips" they won't let you exchange them for slot play - or at least they wouldn't let me - since they're the one-and-done type.

Also don't make the mistake I did and wait in line at the Identity desk for 20 minutes only to be told to go to the cage. :rolleyes2:

Lol, thanks for the heads up about the cage. I guess I'll play 1 hand of baccarat or maybe 1 spin on roulette.

I just read the small print. Damn "Promotional chips are single-use and valid on select table games".

Correct. They play once. Cosmo absolutely refuses to exchange them for slot credits. I've tried repeatedly.

Looked around and found this thread, I have free play (not promo chips) later this month at Cp how does it work w cet casinos? Is it play til you lose? Or is it one and done? Can I pull back my free play after a win? Thanks

I use them for "tips" when playing for the dealer, or doubles/splits in blackjack to increase the chance of a "win".
Im pretty sure they are meant for even money wager, except the blackjacks did pay 3:2 for them.

450 in promo u can always cash it for 225 if you hedge a bet.

also you can have black or green promo chips, I always get the greens to use them in the above situations.

Just another question on these chips, are they only good on even money bets? Could you say use them as a crap check or horn bet?
