Ok, it isn't quite that simple. I'm heading to Vegas for a friends wedding but leaving the wife at home. Most of the people from the wedding are staying at the Flamingo and I booked the Quad for 4 nights comped. I just looked and I could stay at Aria free with myvegas for those nights instead of the quad? I think it might be wise to stay at Quad this time and save the Aria nights for when my wife can go.
You're right; definitely not as simple as the subject suggests. I think that's the right move: stay at the Quad, save Aria for some other time. I'm guessing that you won't be spending much time in your room anyway, correct? Maybe take some of those MyVegas points and use them for tickets or buffets or something else; you can always replenish them before taking the wife to Vegas. I try to save most of my "big" MyVegas points for when I'll be with people, instead of on a solo trip. I'll get a show ticket, buffet, etc. But the more expensive stuff...I'd rather get something fancy like an Aria room or even the bottle service at a lounge, and share it with someone.
One in the hand is better than.... Stay at Aria now. Who knows about the future. If you play enough this trip your next trip could be comped anyway.
Stay at Aria now for free. Going back with the wife? Stay at Aria again, even if you (gasp) have to pay for it. It's not even close.
I go to Vegas twice a year with a group. It is much easier when we stay at the same hotel or at least hotels close to each other. When we are all spread out at different locations it seems like we don't see each other as much. I am guessing the whole point of your trip is to spend time with these people. For that reason, I would go with The Quad. Yes, The Quad and Aria are like night and day but the close proximity to everyone should make it well worth it.
Yep, save Aria. Great hotel but will be MUCH better with the wife. I know the rooms at the Quad are bad but at least your close to your friends at the flamingo.
How involved are you with the wedding? If you stay at Aria, will you end up short playing them? This may be a situation where you want to do what's convenient as it relates to the wedding.
I would say stay Quad cause its closer to Flamingo. Its nice now since they have Bills open so you can cut through there and into the little walk way and end up at Flamingo where the buffet is to access Flamingo. Ernie
Aria! when you have multiple comps to choose from, go with the better one. Reason: what comps you may have available now, may not be around in the future. Unless you know when you and your wife can go to vegas together and can guarantee that Aria comp will be available on those dates, you might end up losing the chance.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay at Quad because it is close to Flamingo and everyone else is there. I like the Quad casino now that it has be redone and I'll have access to Flamingo pool through the people staying there. How bad can the room be when I am just passing out there. I'll save Aria for July with the wife.
