Nice. Neither Bill's nor Barbary Coast offered S17. At least not in the last 15-20 years.

I still don't know that I'll ever spend more time there than is necessary to see the changes. But I'm happy to see some decent BJ rules nonetheless.

That will be a $100 table, but glad to see it there...

I wonder if all non blackjack wins pay 4/5. :wink2:

I'll have to look around Cromwell / CET world during my 3 night June stay to see if any decent S17 options exist at the green chip level. Playing a slot tournament over the weekend and will sprinkle in some poker (limit, tournament and 9/5 JOB @ PHo) and if decent BJ. It'll be nice to have alternatives to MILFe Bellagio/Aria/MGM green chip BJ.

I think your subject line is going to get the hopes of a lot of people up, only to disappoint them in the end.

In almost all the blackjack threads they go like "I was at _______ casino and ALL the blackjack tables were 6:5 and had bad rules for the players" when what they really mean is "I only looked at the $5 and $10 tables and all of those were 6:5 and/or had bad rules for the players whereas I didn't look at the higher limit tables which were probably 3:2 and had good rules for the players"

Cromwell is probably going to be the same: they are going after a better crowd than what used to hang at Bill's/Barbary Coast before and those 3:2 tables will be there, but probably with much higher limits and the 6:5 tables will also be there for the bottom dwellers.

The soft opening is tomorrow April 21. They've been sending out comp offers for the 4 week shakedown period to TR members since mid-March.

I'm not surprised. Very possibly the hotel will NOT open as scheduled, but they have always had the ability to send people over to Caesars Palace who have reservations for the Cromwell and arrive to find it not yet open...

If it's actually open, I'll be in Vegas from 4/23 to 4/28 and I'll do my best to get a complete blackjack inventory, main floor and HL. I'll report back when I get home.

However, May 21 is the opening. I don't know exactly what is included in the 'April soft opening nights'. I'll see, though.

"The Cromwell’s May 21st opening date is one of the Las Vegas boutique hotel’s many splashy new details.Total Rewards members can now access the on-sale extravaganza for room bookings, getting the first availability for April and early May soft opening nights. General public sales launch Monday, Feb. 24."
