I have come to the conclusion that everything about My Vegas is completely rigged.

First of all, I was playing a scratch card for the Easter egg hunt competition or whatever they call it this week and after scratching everything and getting my final result, my internet went out. After I got everything restored, I went back onto my account and had to scratch the card again. I scratched completely different sections of the card and got the same exact sequence of results and the same exact final winnings.

Then, I started comparing the amount of chips it took to get "eggs" for the competition with two other friends who were playing and we realized that we all had to play different amounts of chips to get "eggs" based on the size of our chip stash. It is rigged to try to trick people into using up all their chips -- no matter the size of their stash.

So basically, this is not a real game by any stretch of the imagination. The results are all predetermined.

The free shows and food I had last trip were predetermined by myvegas too.

I have no complaints at all.

"Predetermined" is not exactly the same as "rigged", imo. And at least for this contest, you want it to be "predetermined" because if it was "random", your average prize would be less. I have always got the 2nd-highest, or highest prize this time.

And the amount you have to play is not based on how many chips you have. It depends on the Level you are on. Higher levels get bigger awards, but have to play more too.

Yeah, I learned my lesson on those scratch cards last time. I avoid them now.

The fact that the outcomes of the scratch cards are predetermined is not exactly news. That has been discussed on here many times. That is also not different than many bonus games on real slot machines. They make you think you are choosing from different options - but the result is predetermined before you ever make your choice.

I would agree that there are nuances about the game that are baffling....I believe the results differ based on your Level and are predetermined because the games are "programed" to drain your game chips (red chips) ....and when you use up your red chips, you have to acquire more chips to play more and get to look at all the ads on the right side of the page :evillaugh.....the good news is, when you acquire enough points, you get stuff for free

Slots in the casino are "predetermined", all internet games are predetermined. The instant you click on something, the result is set...everything you watch (pick something, watch reels spin) is just for entertainment purposes.

That is a very good point, and in My Vegas even the Daily Spin is predetermined - once it pops up, before you even click on it, whatever you are going to get has been locked in.

It's pre-determined. As is every slot game. Can't understand people complaining about it being pre-determined anyway, it's not as if if you clicked something different you would have won more chips through skill? It's all down to luck and what the game wants to give you.

Such a lame argument since we are 'gambling' on free rewards

Just FYI about real slots where you have to pick items on a bonus game - I asked this same question over at slotfanatics forum and they all said that if the slot uncovers the spots you did not pick at the end o the bonus - revealing what was under them - then it is not predetermined. Those credits or whatever were under those spots the entire time and what you won as based upon your picking. They had asked several slot manufacturers this question while touring their facilities and the answer was the same. Now if after picking, the other spots were not revealed then it is predetermined. But there are only a few slots like that out there.

As far as MyVegas I believe it is predetermined. But who really cares - I'm getting a ton of free stuff from playing a game!

Well, I skipped the entire event this time and just collected red chips for a while with almost no play, just a few spins a day at 40 to keep me current. I now have over a million red chips.
    They really do add up.

I just had missed the LP double promotion twice when I could not reach the next level, so I decided to wait it out this time with just a bit to go, so my LP's will double.
    And I was traveling too.

So, I am hoping that after the egg promo we do get a double LP promo. Then I can begin playing off the million or so chips.
I liked just collecting. I'm not much of a slot player, and I think I have all I need for my next trip. My LP's kept growing even with no play. I hit them in the spin or on my map or in small amounts mixed with friend gifts.

I did see early on that one poster wrote My Vegas and they freely admitted that the bonus was predetermined regardless of what we pick or what they show afterward. It is a good bit different when there is no need to use a random number generator at all in a game. Think about it when you are recruited for the online gambling that is sure to come with MyVegas dedicated players as prime candidates. I don't expect that there is much similarity between these games and slots in a casino.

I'm hoping at least for a little while the rewards stay about the same and don't get watered down to nothing. It seems very unusual to get so much for so little.

    Great point!

..as is my predetermined happiness at using all these free comps! Btw, on one day of the egg hunt, I got up to over a million chips and finished the day. That was fun!

Looking forward to my trip in May/June and using our rewards.

In our last 3 trips, my wife and I have used about $2100 in rewards from our MyVegas accounts. MGM Steak houses, Seats up front at free shows, drinks, restaurants.

During those 3 trips, from MGM, we additionally had 12 room nights free - no resort fees, $500 gambling, $350 resort credit.

I just can't get mad that ALL video games are rigged and have their own quirks, figure them out and avoid them!

And I certainly will not get mad at MyVEGAS and MGM, for having the best comp program ever, for low level gamblers!

Even with the lower MyVegas rewards, MGM has my loyalty when I am on the strip, I will stay there and Gamble there.

MyVegas is rigged?!?! Why didn't someone say something sooner? Words can't be found to express my emotions right now. Is there anything else rigged in Vegas? Must I now give up both the game and all gambling now? Oh the agony!

Like the previous multi-days challenges, I sat this egg one out too. I managed to collect 643K chips and am now waiting for a Double LP weekend.

I see ALOT of people complaining on FB about how the challenges suck your chips and how it is impossible to finish because it takes hundreds of thousands of chips to collect those eggs (or whatever). Then the next complaint is they don't have enough chips to play the Double XP or LP event that historically follows these multi-day chip sucking challenges.

If you know Double XP or LP is coming and you want to be able to play with lots of chips, why play the multi-day things?

The last challenge I played was the Thanksgiving postcard, I think that was the one where you won 500K at the end. Then when I saw the trend of these long stretch challenges, I bailed and hoarded when one came out.
