I stayed in the Marriott Stellaris in 2012, played BJ every night. The Casino didnt open until the afternoon, I dont remember the exact time but it was around lunch time, maybe a little later. Unfortunately the table games didnt open until the evening, maybe 6pm? Rules werent that bad, typical of "good" rules you would see now a days, 6 deck, H17, double after any two cards, no resplitting aces. Most tables were $15 & $25 minimum. I remember one table each night was $50 minimum and I never say anyone playing on it. The casino was very small and very smokey. Dealers keep their own tips, so some were very friendly and helpful. Others were not...this one delaer in particular, I was doubling an 11 and I asked her if I can get my one card face down. She said in a more nasty tone that I would have expected "NO, if you dont want to see the card you can close your eyes". I had a good laugh over that one.

One more thing I should mention, I also played at the Hyatt Casino...by FAR much nicer than the Marriott casino. Same rules as the Marriott. I do not recall any side bets as I dont play them. The Hyatt also offered promotional chips when you sign up for their players club card. I dont remember if you have to specifically ask for the promo chips, or if you buy them ($20 for $30 type thing).

Enjoy and post a trip report when you get back.

I've owned a timeshare in Aruba for 20+ years. BJ at the Marriott is as described by trent. I preferred the Westin, which unfortunately just closed as the Riu has bought it out so it is being remodelled. The Holiday Inn Casino has lower minimums ($5-$10). Lots of casinos on the island so if you don't like the Marriott, you can try elsewhere.

stayed a the hyatt 2 years ago.. blackjack rules were horrible. wasn't really planning to do a lot of gambling so i didn't bring much cash but decided to play one night.. the casino atm was broken so i they told me to use the hotel one which had some crazy low per transaction limit.. had to do multiple transactions just to get enough $$ to play some low green chip action...
