I have a question regarding the menu.

The beef wellington for 100 for 2 does that come with the sides, ie purred potatos etc but if I order a 55.00 sirloin I know have to also pay 13 for asparagus or spinach etc?

    thanks

I think you have answered your own question. The menu explains the Wellington comes with potato purée and root vegetables, the rest of the menu is a la carte so if you order a different steak you will have to pay for sides of your choosing.

Idk about Ramsay but some will not let you substitute the sides in a dish like the Wellington so if you want different sides you might be best off to order individual steaks. Just a thought.

*Edited because I looked at the menu and realized the Wellington wasn't a la carte like the rest of the menu

Don't forget to leave room for sticky toffee pudding. You can't go there to eat and not have that, it is definitely on the top of my food list!!

Darn it !! The last time we were there (and the only time so far) we were so full after the wellington there was no room for dessert and skipped the sticky toffee pudding..next time I know to save room!!

That's how most of the top steak restaurants work, sides are extra.

I've had the STP at both GRP in Caesars and GR Steak at the Paris, IMO the STP is better at Steak....

+1 on the Mac and Cheese is to Die for though!

Weird maybe if you sat in the dining room. If you ate at the bar I doubt it would be an issue.

We're going to try to find the time to eat there again this trip but if we can't I will go sit at the bar for the pudding.

It's good at his burger joint but comes as a push-up pop, and it's good at his pub but the difference is it comes with brown butter ice cream at Steak and Vanilla at the pub. I like the brown butter much better.

Everything is a la carte. The wellington is one of the best things I've EVER eaten. So delicious.

Don't go if you are gonna be cheap about it... for the 3 of us it was almost $400 with no alcohol or dessert, and only one of us had a salad.

Sit at the bar if you aren't going to have a meal. Also you have to reserve WELL in advance to get you, can't just show up and expect to get in. I made my reservation like 3 months in advance!

I had it at Burgr and it sucked... it was like an ice cream push pop with an 1/4" sliver of cake. Judging from what I see on Yelp it's completely different here.

Ate there last week and had the beef wellington. The potato puree that came with the wellington was a very small portion. On the plus side had no problem finishing dessert.

The wife and I booked a reservation for the Friday night I'm there. Going to share the beef Wellington for 2 and maybe an additional side then the sticky toffee of course. I read online to dress business casual but some folks wear jeans shorts etc? Thoughts ?

I would head to the bar, get a drink or 2 and get the desert. I wouldn't get a table.

I could be wrong on this but my assumption on why the wellington comes with those sides is because it is actually cooked with it in the oven. My assumption also is that it isn't as big as regular sides.

We had the wellington when we went last year. The sides are almost more like a garnish, but delicious.

If I'm going to go to the bar and eat as a solo, do you think I need a reservation?

    over-rated

Maybe or Maybe not, weekends think not, bar will be packed w/people waiting for a table.

    I don't get this place,
The music is excruciating loud, and no way in hell you can carry on even a semblance of conversation.
It's always a bonus where the waiters have to scream at you for the specials of the day.

The food is overpriced, as it's the cool spot du jour,
for all the cool cats today.
    /opt out

Maybe if I was deaf & spoke in Sign, It might be more enjoyable,
to watch my water glass dance across the table from the loud music.
