Although I am fairly knowledgeable about the entire B Connected program and points system, I'm going to run into a situation this year that I've never dealt with before.

In Oct, my B Connected renewal date, I am going to drop below Emerald points level and become Sapphire.

Here is the question: We will be back in Nov & Dec and will most likely be back in the Emerald category. Do I have to wait until Oct 2015 to get the new card, or once I reach 250,000 points again, I'll get another new Emerald card good until Oct 2015.

I know when playing games sometimes I'll get the message to come to the Players Club to redeem your prize. Is it the same once you cross a points threshold, it's immediate?

I was given the Emerald level when the B Connected program started and never fell below it, but it looks like I will this year and I'm curious how the procedure works.

Anybody move from Ruby to Sapphire while on your trip? EDIT: And I should add, move from Sapphire to Emerald on a trip?

    Joe,

I went with a guy for his first trip to Orleans during Super Bowl and he achieved Sapphire during the visit and using his ruby colored card the machines would show him as a sapphire and rack up the points at 2x rather than one. I would suppose you could go to the b-connected desk for a new card (color-wise) once your points are accumulated to emerald.

The color only seems to be in the player's eye not the computer. But let us know as that is an interesting question.

Joe: I doubt you'll get a definitive answer except from Boyd, but I'm pretty sure you can get a new card reflected your new level whenever it's achieved. I don't have a clue, however, if you'll get a new renewal date.

My Sapphire renewal is also October (31st), and each year I receive an anniversary offer for three free nights at any Boyd/Coast property. I wonder if there's some way to move my anniversary date up a few months. Ms. Gecko's anniversary was January 2013, and shortly after she received her free anniversary nights, her anniversary date changed to July 2013 and she received another 3 free nights as her gift! Her anniversary is now listed as July 2014. She was Sapphire before and after, and no explanation was given.

    Let us know what happens.

The computer knows what you are for your purposes.

Keep using the old Emerald card, especially for lineups, etc. Like you say, it won't be long before you re-establish it.

As soon as you qualify for the level again, they'll give you a new card. It may have to be at your Home casino, i.e. Wherever you signed up.

I saw something that said it is now easier to earn emerald. Anyone know the details?

    I corroborate as well....

Though it is only for Sapphire, I'll cross that threshold when I visit in the summer, and I was reminded that I'd start earning Sapphire benefits right away.
