I searched quick and couldn't find anything and have no idea if this is where this belongs but couldn't find the deal on the Cosmo site anymore. Is it gone?

The program changed since last week. They added another status (Sterling) and no longer status match other loyalty programs (ex. mLife and TR). I was a bit bummed that they stopped status matching since I was going to status match my mLife Platinum status with them. Oh well..

I think I walked away about $250 to the good. I did it ages ago, back when they still had reasonable quarter VP on the bartops. I think I pissed away my hundy in a flash at some high limit slots, then spent the afternoon drinking about $100 worth of top shelf booze and holding my own at VP. I think I hit a couple big hands at then end of the day and managed to walk away up a decent amount. I definitely got my money's worth out of that promo!

I should also mention that I didn't even have a clue about basic strategy back then. :rolleyes2:

My g/f, a gigantic low roller, booked about 6 winning days in a row on the promo. The rules were set up where you didn't have to have the $100 loss on the first day. So she would quit if she was up as small as $20. I would say she won maybe $200 total. She lost the $100 on our last full day in Sept. and recouped $83. Good thing she did it then too. They got rid of the promo the week we got there in Feb.

As for me, I blew the $100 in about 8 minutes playing 9/5 DDB for dollars. Grinded $89 of it back at penny 7/5 Bonus 25 cents at a time.

I won nearly 200 on the free play. Like other flew through my 100 playing dollar ddb and then played some triple play ddb at .25 cent and managed two non premium quads. Was a great way to gamble on someone else's dime

I hit a $5 2 credit machine for $150 on my second spin and walked away. Didn't know I could come back the next day and try to lose again.....makes me mad now cause I would have dropped it right back in a hl slot and took the chance.

Does anyone know if any of the casinos are running similar promos still? I remember Riviera and Tropicana doing something similar, but I'm having a hard time finding current information and what the promos are.

Nobody has anything truly comparable as far as I know. Trop had a slot play deal but it sucked when I did it.

As for similar: Tropicana is only one that still does a similar promotion (Hooters and Riviera also had similar promotions last year). With the Tropicana promotion, however, you only get half of your losses back right away and the rest 30 days later (where it is good for a year if you aren't coming right back to Las Vegas).
