    Hi
Were due to arrive in vegas on 6th-16th april and wondering what the standard tip amount is for the waitresses when playing in the casinos.

The standard remains at $1 per beverage delivered.
I've found, however, that $2 or $3 tip on the first drink results in better service.

If the drink requires effort (i.e., using a machine), I recommend tipping a little more.

Ive started tipping $5 per round when playing with DW, and 2 0r 3 bucks when alone. The difference in service is very noticable over just a buck. If non stop service is your goal like me, it matters. And the CW will get you better hooch in some places.

grab some $2 bills if you can...tip those...that's what we do and the CWs usually remember us and check back a little more often. it's a unique form of money...we tip $2 per drink...:beer::beer:

MINIMUM $1 per drink. If it's anything fancier than a liquor + mixer or a beer....tip more.

A buck a drink is fine just about everywhere. That's for a free drink.

I am amazed at how many folks don't tip the waitress....just last week I witnessed this again & again. Mainly when someone ordered coffee or a coke....really? Just because it was not liquor...she had to exert the same effort!! If you can't afford a tip....go somewhere & buy your coffee & coke & take it into the casino.....geez!

There are so many people who don't tip that a simple buck will get there attention. But tip $2+ and you will notice a difference in service.

That is what we do too - I have our stack of $2 bills ready to go tomorrow - I also have some $1 coins.
I usually start the CW's with a $5 pre-tip when I order if I am going to be at a machine or a table for a while.

I only drink water, soda and coffee so I'll tip a buck.

Is it just me or does the waitress always show up at a hot craps table and asks the shooter if he wants something? NO DISTRACTIONS PLEASE! But when the table is ice cold you may as well be playing in the middle of a desert, which ironically, you are.

No, it's not just you, lol!! It happens to me ALL the time! I sometimes wonder if they (CW's) are trained to do that so we mess up our concentration and our bets!!

I love all CW's to death, they work hard and deserve tips, which I give generously all the time, but please.....DON'T BOTHER ME WHEN I'M SHOOTING!!

    Pretty please?......

If a drink requires more time than simply pouring from a gun and bottle, I think a higher tip should be given as it takes the CW off the floor longer. A coffee may have to be brewed, then milk/cream and sugar added, or a blender needs to be used for blended drinks (unless it comes from those machines).

I just think if it's a drink, alcoholic or not, that requires additional effort and keeps the CW off the floor longer, thereby reducing the amount of time she's on the floor making tips, she should get at least $2. But that's just me. :peace:

    Just water = $1, everything else = $2. If I order a water and a drink that isn't a cocktail then I just give $2.

What kind of 1.00 coins do you use?
Do they confuse them with quarters?
I have some I might take.
