Finding a flight using airline miles from NY to Las Vegas is almost impossible without booking6- 8 months out.

But if you want to go to Billings, Montana from Dubuque you can probably find a flight next week.
Trying to redeem on myVegas for some of the rewards with the biggest bang for the buck has been very frustrating.

If I want a beer or cocktail for 6000-8000 points there are plenty available.
Trying to get the $50 dining credit or the Fuel the Duel has been impossible.
I've done all the suggested things of being on at 10am est.and keep trying but continue to be shut out.
    Starting to lose interest.
Just curious what anybody else is finding.

I've now "purchased" the $50 dining credit 4 times between my and my wife's account. I've got it on the first try each time. So while you need to follow a specific process at a very specific time (its been documented several times here), its fairly easy to get.

This goes for all of the "hard to get" rewards.

To me, I enjoy playing the game and I enjoy the free stuff I get from playing. So to me, the extra effort it takes to get the rewards I want aren't a big deal.

    My suggestion -

That one is a waste of a reward.

Go to the piano bar at Harrah's, no entry and get your beers from Casino Royale: $1 Michalobe or $2.50 Heiniken and bring them back to the piano bar.

Every time you need anther one...walk 3 minutes and come back with 2!

you have to sometimes refresh for 15 minutes before it shows up. it is not the exact same time every day.

fuel the duel is the waste, not the 50$ credit

I read on another post that someone had their e-mail copied so all they have to do is "paste" when ready to book. It might save you a couple of seconds if the reward is available.

I got the single premium ticket to LOVE and the 50$ Monte Carlo food credit on the first try....the day I was trying for the MC one my daughter called during my back and forth with the reward and as I picked up....the reward was restocked and I still managed to get it, almost hung up on her LOL. Keep trying :)

It is super easy to get the rewards that sell out quick. You just have to be fast. Read all the tips that have been given here. Have your email copied and ready to paste. Don't let a hard to get reward be the first reward you buy. Once you have purchased a reward, you only have to input your initials in the form of the hard to get reward (your name goes into the system with your first reward and can't be changed so it doesn't matter what you put in after that).

Whether or not a reward is a "waste" is subjective. The Fuel the Duel reward, for example, is $100 of any kind of beer or drinks. Not everyone wants to drink cheap beer or drinks :vomit: so that reward could get a table 10-15 GOOD beers. It's all about your own taste and preferences.

Absolutely true...I was just offering an alternative if they are frustrated and can't get the reward.

Tell me more about the RED part please. I've redeemed 2 rounds of rewards last year - so what is the short cut?

This works on MGM rewards (not sure about Puck or HOB or SF though). Once you have redeemed 1 reward, you enter your name and email. MGM keeps this in their system and this is the official name that will always be associated with your account. (Likely to prevent people from getting rewards for other people in their names.) Therefore, on the hard rewards, you can just put in your initials and paste your email. Saves lots of time.

    Hope that makes sense. :)

If I'm not mistaken, it changed to 11 AM eastern after the daylight savings time change.

I just checked the email for the MC $50 credit I got on March 25th. It was 9:03 central. I checked hubby's email and his was March 26th at 9:03 central too.

I do know that my MyVegas strip time was altered an hour with daylight savings time, though.

By the way, it was at about 7:08 PST that I refreshed it and there were 2 left.

Going online right at 10 am works for me. I just did it yesterday and snagged two separate KA 2 premium ticket rewards (my account and my girlfriends). We got four tickets together, dead centre, row 3!

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the Harrah's piano bar had a no-outside-drinks rule when I was there.

I walked by there a few times last weekend and there were employees manning the door.
