Anyone know when they removed the TITO cashing machines? I found it rather annoying that I needed to go to the cage to cash in a ticket.

While I can't completely boycott the property, this is causing me to never play slots there again. I still played some table games, love the sports book, and the pizza is great. I'm fine with never playing slots there again, it just seemed like a very strange move.

Seriously, there are no TITO kiosks? But now that I'm thinking about it, did they ever have them? I only remember standing in lines at the cage to cash out a VP ticket. I don't gamble in there too much, so maybe I just missed them?

For a while they had a TITO machine near the cashier, but every time I was there the machine was out of order. Furthermore, the cashier often only had one window open, so the line of people waiting to cash was 20 deep.

Not sure why they would take them all out. The last time we were in there, there was three of them ... to the left of the cashier, another over to the east side by the empty "club" room, and another one on the west side of the north casino section as you were leaving.

    Plaza tito machines

Unfortunately,we had several challenges with the TITO machines so we made the decision that it would be an improvement to our customer service to have an interaction at the cage with one of our employee’s vs. the machines. We also noticed that several other casino’s have either greatly reduced their use or done away with them altogether as well.

Huh? All other casinos downtown have them scattered all over their casinos. Same with the strip. And they seem to work well, unlike the failure it has been for Plaza and Vegas Club. And my experience at the cage at Plaza is never great, they need to take a big ole happy pill for sure.

Sadly, this is one that SHOULD be an April Fools joke. Can they try harder to run customers off?

Well hopefully you see this feedback and maybe change your mind. This is a deal breaker for me for playing slots at your casino. I had fairly good experiences with the cashier. There were a few people in line each time, but it isn't like lines don't happen at the machines either.

The reason I will never play a slot machine again here is because this feels like to me another barrier to get my money. The machines in another casino add convenience and you have taken that away from me. It felt as though you wanted to make it harder for me to get my money and therefore would play another slot machine.

I'm sure I'm paranoid and the decision was made to help customers. I for one never had an issue with the machines, maybe many other did. All I am saying is that after first hearing this from the cashier, my first impressions on this decision were in no way good for Plaza.

Golden Gate didn't seem to have them either.

Golden Gate? They were there last month. However, the ticket machine at LVC has had an out of order sign on it for about year and a half.

I just can't see how this will improve customer service. I haven't been to Downtown Vegas since last July but I'm pretty knowledgeable as to where the TITO machines are in the Downtown casinos. I cannot visualize casinos like the Fremont and Cal doing away with TITO machines, where everyone has to go to the cage. The lines would be horrendous. I'm curious as to where you have "noticed" this reduction or elimination of TITO redemption machines.

I'll be there in a couple of weeks....

I hadn't noticed that. Can you list just 3 or so other casinos that have done away with them altogether (other than properties of the same owner as the Plaza)?

TITO cashing machines save a casino money by not paying wages, health insurance, and other bennies to their human replacements. Also, it's the convenience factor as well. People wanna go everywhere in a hurry and hate waiting in line at the cashier to cash out their 45 cent TITO. Yeah, some will throw it out, some will find a penny machine and play it all away instead of going to the cashier(probably your reasoning for this), some will give the small TITO to another player, and a few would go wait in line to cash it out.

I fail to see the logic in removing the TITO cash dispensers from the casino floor; I also fail to see myself visiting the Plaza again after going there nearly every trip for the past 25 years. What an inconvenience. :rolleyes2:

    They have them.

There are two side by side, in the middle of the casino floor, parallel with Dupars.

There are two more next to the cashier cage.

I can not say what those challenges were/are for I am not privy to that information. When/if I have more information I will keep everyone up to date as best I can. :)

I didnt think they would actually do away with them. I was there late last year and my host, who has since jumped ship to another casino, told me they were talking about getting rid of them since players are more inclined to just "play off" their tickets VS having to wait in line at the cage. I said it seemed like a money grab and he agreed.

Well, it seems we all have our answer why they took them out. Plaza poster, please go back and tell management that we arent that stupid.
