So while some love McD's for a late night snack during/after drinking, we LOVE NY style pizza.
I've read up on Secret Pizza ... .anywhere else anyone can think of to grab a good slice????
    Does NYNY have anything??

Ha nice. I could go to NYC but I've been there and it's cold right now. I'd rather be eating NY style pizza after a night of fun and drinks in warm Las Vegas!

If I recall, there is a pizza shop at NYNY at the top of the escalator near Coyote Ugly. There is also a Bonanno's pizza in the food court at MGM. Not sure how late these 2 places are open.

Personally, when its 3 or 4am and I want a late night snack I go to Wolfgang Pucks at MGM and get one of their wood oven pizza. Not the cheapest($18 or so) but it blows away the pizza at Bonanno's. The meatball pizza is awesome. Thin crust, fresh sauce, and quality toppings.

Lived in NYC for over 15 years, there is NOTHING that compares to NYC pizza. That being said there are things that are very close, I heard good things about that place in NY NY Hotel but haven't tried it. But if you like the Lombardi's/Grimaldi's/Barboncino's style brick oven pizza, then head over Grimaldi's at the Palazzo.

Almost forgot, can you please update us about the pizza place in the NYNY Hotel? I'm headed to Vegas for a week in June and I think I'm going to check it out.

Secret pizza and five50 (Cosmo and aria) are your best bets for sure for NY style.

If you want NY Neopolitan style like Lombardi's than go to Grimaldi's. But if you're looking for a genuine NY style slice (a la Joe's, etc) I agree with fenway on Secret Pizza (1st) or Five50 (2nd). These aren't just good slices in Vegas, they'd be good slices here in NY as well.

As far as the ones in the NYNY hotel, as I understand it the better slices are at the smaller pizza place in the food court (Sirricos?) and not the bigger pizza place (NYP).

As a NYC resident of 30+ years (my entire life), I don't understand "NY style pizza". I think you just mean... pizza. :Þ

Anyway, Secret Pizza is decent, as is the place in NYNY. I really love Five50 at Aria, although I wouldn't call it a slice-on-the-street place; it's a bit more gourmet, but nonetheless excellent.

Come on...you know! The big ass thin slices that you hang, point down, for a few seconds to let some of the "flavor" run off...then you have to fold the point in and the slice in half to eat it. Pretty much the way all pizza should be!

Ha, that's my point. That's just pizza! As far as I'm concerned, it's like asking about American-style hamburgers or Chinese-style lo mein. It's funny, though, I remember eating at Five50 and getting looks from the other people at the bar because I was folding the (relatively small) slices there. But that's how you eat pizza!

I'd give up my citizenship to live in NYC but I don't get the love of NYC-style pizza.

Almost sounds like you could make your own "New York Style" pizza by just ordering any kind slice, putting some water on the plate so the crust gets weak and soggy and can't support itself so you have to fold it over...? Or you could just order a calzone without ricotta cheese and its like it comes prefolded?

    :) :) :)

I like aria and Cosmo, but they need to be fresh. Not the ones sitting out reheated back in the oven.

Pizza rock in dt is also good, multiple crust formulations and different sauces.

Sweet tomato vs a salty one vs white

There are two places by PH. Actually three if you count the outside restaurant and all three are much better than the secret pizza place.
