Will Mlife offer me an upgrade even if I booked from a third-party website?

No as I don't see how Mlife would even know you're booked there if you went 3rd party... However, you can try the $20 trick when you check in...

I will assume you mean at checkin.

Based on what I have seen, 3rd party reservations are lower on the list all the way around. And, no matter how much you play, you can never get that room comped.

And, since you are paying for the room, I am guessing your level of play is low anyways, so upgrades are less apt to happen.

As to upgrades, even a Plat often can not get an upgrade. They have only so many rooms to upgrade to and if they are full, they are full.

I think she means where they e-mail you and ask if you wanna upgrade for $20 or somethng.

I'm actually not sure... it's possible. I feel like I don't get any communication from the hotel unless I book through them. Because they wouldn't have my information... would they? Besides your name.

yeah the email upgrade! I got an offer to upgrade for a myvegas room, so I thought maybe it would be possible for a third party booking. Lots of nos here so I guess not.

I booked recently through southwest on a good deal to MB. I'm intending to try a $20 upgrade at the check in and I"ll let you know.

Perhaps someone more knowledgable can confirm, but I hope you at least still get tier credits for the cost of the room? Anyone know for sure.

Hopefully my future rooms will get comped.

By email, no. They won't have any way to associate your reservation made through a third party with you.

At check in, yes. When you check in if they have upgrade options available they will likely offer them to you. If you are staying at Excalibur they will likely offer to move you to an upgraded room for $10-20 more per night.

This is a no as well. You paid SW, not MGM Resorts directly, so you lose out on those benefits.

Yea no credits unless you book directly. Because it's prepaid. Credits are applied when you check out.

You do get extra SW credits though don't you?

Thanks for the heads up. Kind of a bummer that I won't get tier level for the room, considering I had to pay for it. Wish I had known that.

That is there incentive they use to get you to do business directly through them. Not to mention you can often get a casino rate through mlife that is comparable to SW Vacations or Expedia. Lesson learned though, always deal direct if you want the tier credit or any chance of it being comped off on the back end.
