    Hello hello!
I'm considering having my wedding dinner at Todd English Olives. The price seems to be right in the range I'm looking entries starting around $25 ranging to $40 or $50. It looks nice from what I can tell online. Does anyone like or dislike this place? I'm not having a reception, just dinner and cocktails each person is paying their individual meals. Or any suggestions price wise something similar or better?
    Thanks again!

I went there last year for dinner. The vibe was very nice and the service was good. I had salmon and thought it was a little over cooked, my friend had chicken and was happy. It is dark in there from what I remember.

I like the food there very much. As the other poster stated, it is dark in there in the evenings and it can also get loud. Keep that in mind

Olives is slated to be rebranded this year, as I recall. Bellagio didn't renew Todd English's contract on the restaurant. I think the article in Eater said that would take place "early" in 2014, but not sure if it's happened yet.

At one point, it was announced that Bellagio and Todd English were going to part ways. However, a deal was struck back in December, and Olives will remain at Bellagio.

Bommen, based on eating at a different location of Olives, I've got to agree with you. I'm not convinced they would have replaced it with anything better, but at least there would have been hope.

    Been there many times.
Food can be good or just OK.Your experience will be enhanced dramatically if you can get a table on the patio by the fountains.
    Get there early.

Go for the atmosphere and service. The food is mediocre, in my opinion.

I like to dine OUTSIDE at Olives.
    Food-wise.........
Maybe it depends on what you order?

I ALWAYS order the Butternut squash raviolis.
Well, they don't actually call them raviolis at Olives, but
thats what they look like, and only item on the menu
that says Butternut squash. To Die for! So GOOD!
Everytime I've gone with a group,
the majority of us order THAT.
Reasonable too, if you don't go crazy with drinks......
    Thats what casinos are for!:licklips:

Wholly smokes that's a BIG list prodaddy

    I searched for Olives..........straight A's

But when I searched Todd English, it came up with the Pub Prep got a C.
The Pub restaurant, got an A on 5/14/14

So, we need to be specific. You are talking about the Pub, Not Olives.

    Just ate there in April....

We ate on the Patio, the Wine was amazing, food mediocre at best....we are not food snobs or anything, the food just wasn't that good, maybe an off night, but my wife's fish was overcooked, my lamb shank was almost tasteless, and the Fois Gras was meh...too bad!

I must say though the view from the patio was amazing and totally made up for food!

I had salmon there about a year ago. I also thought it was overcooked.

My wife and I didn't have the greatest of seats when we ate there, (we were seated close to the entrance), but the service was good. Yes, it's very dark in there and as far as ambiance, it get's pretty noisy when the place is full.

The food was good, not great, but for the price I had no complaints. I had lobster ravioli and my wife had some kind of trout dish. I ate mine and the rest of hers (hers was better...lol!).

I ordered Heineken and it came with a tall, fluted glass. Must have been that glass because the beer just went down so smooth and fast that after 4 of those I was a happy camper.

I would say go there and enjoy yourselves. Hopefully you can score some seats with a fountain view.

We eat there every trip. We always take guests there (along with Mon Ami) on every trip.

At Olives, we only eat at the bar (if the two of us), or the patio (if a group).

Most times the food is very good. A few times just good or slightly better. Never been bad for us.
