Transporting snacks/liquor to the hotel

So how out of place would it looked if I walked from Walgreens/CVS with a rolling small carry on suitcase to put my snacks/liquor in for the room?
The thought of carrying it doesn't appeal to me lol
Would this be allowed on the Duece?

 

In Vegas? You could load a beer keg and a box of slim jims on the back of a Donkey and no one would think twice.

 

Who cares how it would look! I just did the very same thing about a week ago in Vegas. It is soooo much easier than trying to carry numerous bags. I did not take the Deuce but I doubt that would be a problem. Good luck

 

We do the carry on, trip for goodies all the time. Never tried to board a bus with it, for we never had to. We load her up, and strap on top whatever doesn't fit inside. It's a loaded beast inside and out when you have beer, cokes, water, and snacks. It would really suck trying to carry all of that!

For liquor, we bring ours in the check in luggage. This was legal the last time we flew in 2011, and will have to check on that again, to be sure things have not changed. It has to be in a sealable bottle and nothing high octane like Run 151.

 

Hmm... my first thought is: where the heck are you staying that you actually have to take a bus from a Walgreens/ABC/CVS to your hotel? Those stores seem to be every few feet along The Strip

Otherwise, no won't be a problem: there is always going to be people wheeling luggage along The Strip.

For our last three trips thats what we do: check in at hotel room and empty out our big wheeled bag which can then be rolled up (its entirely soft). I then put it in a bag and we go down to the casino for a little while and then eventually walk to one of the stores (CVS, Walgreens, ABC) and load up on stuff and take it back to the room.

I used to carry all the stuff back to the room but the last couple of times I did it I can recall really left me with a sore back and why bother? Plus the wheeled suitcase thing is just so convenient.

I'm one of those people who always cares how I look, doesn't go out without make-up, will pay more for coffee from room service, and even I don't have a problem with loading up at a store with all my booze and snacks. As said above, takes more than that for people to notice.

Where did you eventually decide to stay? As stated, there's always somewhere close by.

 

Once saw a family at Harrahs pushing a shopping cart full of cases of beer, water and other snacks. Now this was on the second floor from the parking garage, but to this day I've wondered where they got that shopping cart?

Now how does the hotel/casino feel about a donkey walking through the lobby because I'm not about to lug the keg to my room by myself.

 

HRH - I haven't stayed there - says on the website that they don't allow drinks in bought off property.

 

I have seen water, sodas and beer brought through casinos in hands, arms, plastic bags, rolling in a hard-side cooler, styrofoam coolers, on top of suitcases, etc.

No one gives a second look.

 

Oh yeah, and they don't even think the coverage now is enough with more opening all the time.

If you are staying at Excalibur the best thing to do is: they have two hotel towers, called Tower I and Tower II. Under Tower I is an exit that takes you to Las Vegas Blvd. You can exit there, take the path to the sidewalk and then just across Las Vegas Blvd is an AM/PM Arco gas station.

The AM/PM won't have the size of selection you would get at Walgreens, CVS or ABC, but for what they do carry (cigarettes, beers, water, coolers, pop, chips, misc junk food) they will have better prices.

 

Simply walking around rolling a small carry on suitcase out of place?
