I was considering booking a room at Palazzo for next weekend. Do you think they will backend comp even after the "dryness in comps"? I wanted to try V/P. I generally play $300-500 a hand in baccarat, avg of 4-5 hoes per day. If not, I'm going to Wynncore.
If you're just talking about getting your room comped, I think that should be enough. I think V/P's comp bar is just slightly lower than Wynn's, so if that play gets you comped at Wynn, it should be good enough for V/P. Only obstacle I see is that it's short notice and March Madness season, so occupancy may be high. I'd call and ask for a host on duty and put the question to them, or just stay at Wynn and walk over to V/P while you're there and ask.
ive stayed there on a mailer back in Oct. 4-5 hrs of blackjack at 90 some craps the host still keeps in contact with me and has free rooms ( up to 3 free nights including weekends, very limited FB ( like 50-75) same with free play. nut I don't stay there as I cant seem to win a dime there. fk I feel like V/P is back to their old days in the early 2000s and seem generous again.
I know for a fact they back end on comps. But I'm a slot player not table games. I suggest calling up a host at V/P and telling them your usual play and ask them what that will likely get you in the way of comps next weekend.
I contacted a host and told them my play with no previous play. The host offered 2 nights comped. I thought this nice since I've never played there rated. I might have to jump on it. I'm not sure on the dryness of comps since I consider my level of play mid-level.
If you are trying to decide between V/P and wynn, go wynn in a heartbeat! If you can get a room taken care of at wynn, why Is this even a question? You play at my level riddick and I now have a host at wynn that I can refer you to. Just PM me.
Thanks for the info bronco. You are absolutely correct. That is what I thought, but wanted to diversify my play. Before, I only focused on Mlife. But now, F**k Mlife. I have a host at the Wynn after my recent first stay. Just wanted to try something different. My 3 properties have been the following: 1. Wynncore 2. Cosmo 3. V/P I heard the cosmo is taking care of people. I use to be a regular Aria player, but won't play at mlife anymore.... On average, my theo is $2-4k per trip (over 2 days). My last trip theo was 3k at Wynn and 2k at Aria over a 2 day period. Not significant, but okay. The Wynn is the shit. In fact, it is my new home base. My friends and family are all staying there for the pac man fight. I wanted to gamble at V/P even after the "dryness" just to give it a shot. I will try the Cosmo over this pac man fight to see "the offers".
I played dd bj in the venetian hl room (lost 3k in 2 shuffels) before the superbowl party and the place left a dry taste in my mouth sort to say and it wasnt because of the loss there.
Just stay with mlife like you have been or wynn which now you have a rep. I also have a host at cosmo but not sure if i like the vibe.
My last trip, I taxied to the Palazzo from the Wynn (yes, I'm lazy). Got killed quickly also. It also left a dryness for me too. It may be a sands thing. Not sure on what I should do. Most likely, I will go to the Wynn since the place was awesome.
I will never play at Mlife again, sorry. I was worried about Cosmo since it was more the "elegant and glamorous" feel. I will give it a shot tho. I heard the baccarat tables consist of "older" players. I would hate to play with some scumbag kid betting against the table,
Stay at wynn or aria/mlife bro. Stay away from v/p. I actually love my host at wynn even though ive never stayed there. He is a younger guy. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing because of experience. But i will refer you to him and you just give him your card # etc to see what he can do for you. He actually tried to match my hosts offer from aria but i turned down.
Bacc and bj are my games. The host i have at cosmo was referred from a friend here in dc. She is great, but you need to show some sort of action there before she comps anything. Again, i think its a great place to stop by and play a bit (never stayed there but she gave me a good offer). But reading on this board, apparently its not great for midi bacc. I play high limit bj, and liked the service at bellagio and aria better. Im just wondering about the suites there though lol.
Aria use to be my spot. The skysuites are awesome, I really enjoyed them. Now I play elsewhere. Not sure about Cosmo. I have never stayed at their hotel. I heard their BJ rules are not as superior as Mlife. That is not good to hear about baccarat. I generally spend my time playing baccarat (95%) and high stake slots (5% at $50-100 a pull). BJ scares me since I always get killed.
At the 200 dollar min table, 6 deck shoe and baccarat is the same. V/P rooms are just big but to me they feel "aged/worn/beat up" seems like a money pit for me also, but every now and then I get this "im due" feeling Id love to give wynncore a shot, probably be up that way once SLS gets finished. fk
Venetian and Palazzo just converted all their shoe BJ games on the main floor to 6:5 payouts...for 3:2 you have to play the high limit room. Not sure what they are thinking here as that will drive away table games players in droves. If they're willing to make that kind of bonehead move on the most popular game in the casino, imagine how they'd squeeze other players or comps? For those unaware, changing BJ payouts to 6:5 increases the house edge by OVER 300%!
