Does anyone know if Tropicana still has the free acrobat show in the casino? I tried to search their website and this message board but only found one thread on it from back in 2003. I haven't been to Vegas since 2007, just wondering if it's still going on. My brother and I are going to Vegas next month for a week, so just looking for free stuff to do to stretch our money further lol... This show was one thing I saw that sticks out in my mind, it amazed me that they did it right there above the casino floor.

there is definitely no acrobats at the tropicana the last few times we have been there and nothing installed that would even allow them to do one if they wanted to. I didn't realize they ever had one. Maybe prior to the recent renovations.

Unless your thinking of circus circus....

No, the overhead area in the casino was demolished and completely refurbed in 2010! Pity because they were very good, especially for such a confined space!

Well that stinks, my brother is a Vegas virgin so guess he'll never see that one. I thought they were very good also, was pretty cool to just sit there at the slot machine while watching these people swing above your head lol. Oh well, guess I'll scratch that one off the list. Thanks for both of your replies!

A lot of great stuff from the Strip is gone since 2007. Speed: The Ride from the Sahara is sitting in pieces outside Mandalay Bay. The entire theme of the Luxor was removed from inside the casino. Magical Empire is gone from Caesars. Star Trek: The Experience is gone from the Hilton. It's actually kind of sad.

Yeah we liked the acrobat show at The Tropicana, but they took the whole stage area out back in... 2008 I think it was.

There is getting to be less and less of the free stuff to do in Las Vegas and even much of the cheaper attractions are gone now too.

It is pretty much getting to where about all you can do now is gamble, drink or shop :) :) :)

Wow....that is sad they have removed all that stuff. That was what attracted me to Vegas in the first place was all the theme casinos and things to look at. If I want plain old casinos I can just drive 4 hours to Tunica :-( Oh well, I guess at least there is still the Vegas 'atmosphere' that makes it different.
I am staying at Luxor this time so I guess it will look totally different than the last time I was there...
