how do those who have millions of chips accumate that many? The most I've ever had is about 250K. I'm on level 79 and play every day. I'm doing optimal play at betting 1000 per spin.

    Thoughts? suggestions?

I don't have nearly as many as a lot of people and I've only been playing for a few months, but I generally stop playing for days or weeks and only collect. Then play when they run a double XP or double LP promotion.

    I'm on level 85, I currently have ~800,000 chips ~104,000 LPs.

I'm with you. I've had 175,000 or so for a brief period but i'm usually between broke and 50K.

I've mentioned how I play on here before. I got to 13m chips betting only 20k on Jules Verne when the extra spin counter would start at 4 digits. 3 or less and I would just bet 60 chips per spin until 4 digits would come up. And then I would get the bonus to payout. I also set minimums as far as how low i would let my chip count go (usually in 200,000 increments).

By the time I hit 13m I would just bet 60k in Betrock, and I go up and down at that point, but never let myself get below 12m or 13m.

I also collect every day, but play only a few times a week.

Do you still play that way on Jules Verne? When i first started, i used to bet minimum until i got close to free spins and then i'd increase it and it seemed that my free spins would give me the equivalent payout of the higher bet. It doesn't seem to do that anymore, it is more of a calculation to the payout (i believe it is because of some of the odd payout quantities). I think it is harder to hit that level of chips now. My highest was around 600K and that was because i got really luck on a max bet on Betrock.

if I want to grind chips then I still bet that way (Jules Verne).

What your describing is normal. If you bet minimum until you get closer to the free spins, and then bet higher and higher when you have 1 or 2 numbers left, when you actually get to the free spins your bets per line will be an average of all the spins you've done since your last free spin. So if you did 100 spins at 60, and then 100 spins at 120, your free spins will be at 90.

Which is why when the perfect starting out spot on jules verne is when you begin with 4 digits, and then bet max until you hit your free spins.

How many chips do you have to have in the bank to survive that strategy? I mean, how much could you potentially burn through at max bet waiting for the free spins? Thanks.

On average i would probably burn through 200 to 300,000 to get to the next set of free spins. That's kind of an out-there guess, I'd have to try it next time and keep track.

But that's why i set minimums. i might start at 3,375,000 and say if my chipstack falls below 3,200,000, i'll stop and wait for the next few daily spins or property collection to build back up.

Sorry. Just to be sure I'm understanding you, what you're saying is that when you start playing a round, if there are already 4 or more matching numbers on the bar at the bottom (is it the "location" bar where you match the top row to the bottom row to get the bonus?), you max bet until you hit the bonus. Or are you saying that you low play and then as soon as you have 4 matching numbers you start max betting?

The former. If I come off a set of free spins, and there are already 4 or more matching numbers on the "location" bar, I start betting max until I hit the free spins.

If there's 3 or less, I bet minimum until I get through the next set of numbers and free spins, and try again.

The most I've had is 2 million, I'm level 137. I play some of the post card/puzzle things but try to save up for Double XP days. I collect once or twice a day.

I'm at level 60, have 1.7 million chips, 115,500 gold coins and have been playing for about 5-6 months. I start out betting 50, playing 1500 on Excaliber, Mirage or Luxor, 100 spins. If I'm up at the end of those spins I continue playing until I start losing - sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes an hour or more, then I quit. If I'm winning I will start betting 100, playing 3000 but often when I do that I start losing so switch back to 50 and start winning again. I never bet more than 100. Before I got to level 50 I only bet 20. Very seldom do I go down in chips unless it is a double LP special, then I will go down to level up if I have to. I also play my husband's and we are both basically at the same levels. I only play once a week or maybe less unless there is double LP - I don't often bother with the double XP.

    Currently at 5,237,858 red chips

I started playing in late September and earned a measly 6000 LPs by the time I went to Vegas in early October and I did not redeem them. I played pretty conservatively at first with daily spins and small bets, and I was hoarding chips so I could play High Roller slots.

Time of Daily Spin --Level--Red Chips--LPs
    05:38 PM 1/1/2014 *60 *214227 *53390
    10:02 AM 2/1/2014 *65 *806091 *71105
    06:31 PM 3/1/2014 *79 *1043131 *102875

Fast forward to 3/12 and while betting 12K on Betrock, I got free spins and won 2,921,000, bringing me to 4,305,115.

That's the day I decided to add myvegas neighbors, because I was missing out on the friends bonus part of the daily spin by having no myvegas friends, so I did the friend/neighbor thing in some groups to gain neighbors.

On 3/13 I was betting 60K on BetRock waiting for free spins to happen, and happen they did, to the tune of 6,510,000!! I was up to 8,813,256!! At one time on 3/18 I did exceed 10M, but it was short-lived. :licklips:

    10:27 AM 3/17/2014 153 7001249 195575
    10:54 AM 3/18/2014 160 9027447 205175
    11:02 AM 3/19/2014 175 7017325 237585

    10:16 AM 3/21/2014 200 4893754 267850
    11:33 AM 3/22/2014 203 5227337 271685

If I start playing conservatively and with a little hoarding, I think I could get back to my coveted 10M.

I saw scores of 800,000,000+ in my feed. My score is nothing!

It does not work to bet the minimum then raise to a high bet right before the bonus. Well, you can do that, but it doesn't give the outcome you would think. The games take the average of all spins where you hit the bonus items and pays out accordingly.

To the OP, people have millions of chips because they are betting at very high levels. That is counter productive though. The point is not to get millions of red chips, the point is to get many YELLOW chips (LPs). By betting at those high levels, they are not able to play that way consistently and risking many chips to get the same amount of LPs that everyone can get at lower levels.

Slow and steady wins the race. :)

Agree. I have purple 400,000 chips and my stack seems to be growing. But I bet the optimal amount to maximize LPs.

Betting minimums got me a consistent amount of LPs for a bit. By the time I got to a high enough level and audibling into the Jules Verne Strategy, the level up LPs became significantly more important than earning 10 lps on the meter.

What level? What do you get for levelling up at the higher levels? I'm only on level 55....

Beware of the Jules Verne theory.... I've been playing JV exclusively since these games started. I would also kick up my bet significantly when there were (4) numbers already matched toward the bonus. Sometimes, many times, it takes more spins to get the bonus with (4) showing than if you start with only 1 or 2 showing. It's just random, and many times when it takes less spins to reach the bonus, the actual bonus payout is really low.

This strategy hasn't worked well for me for several months, I've lost hundreds of thousands of chips when there were (4) numbers matching for the next bonus. Just a word of caution if you don't have a significant number of chips to burn.

I usually have 1-2 million red chips at any given time, I only play during promos and am otherwise a chip collecter. Since I have 700,000 LP's and not alot to spend them on, I just make sure my red chip balance stays high enough to play during promos.
