I saw an episode of Fantasy Factory the other day (yeah, I'll admit I love that show) and Rob took his cousin and lawyer out to do this insane zip lining accross a valley of some sort in the Vegas area. At first it seems like it would be fun but when they panned out to the wide shot of them hanging over the depths below..yikes!

Has anyone here ever done that? I'm afraid of heights but it sure looks like a rush!

It's through Flightlinez. The area is bootleg canyon. I might do it in April if Slotzilla isn't opened yet.

Several people have tried to talk me into this but I am not one for heights, and I am certainly not going to have my behind dangled over a canyon at 60 mph by nothing but a wire!! Those who have braved it did say they had a blast, though!

We've done it with BC Flightlines in August and in December. It's a great rush. You do four different lines. The whole trip takes about 3.5 hrs. There is light hiking between the 4 lines. Check out their website for more details!

I did the one in Vegas. It was pretty good though your pressed to get up to 60 miles an hour. As I recall we had an easy check-in and got organized, bused up to the top, had a short hike to the first platform and went down from there. There were four links with some longer then others and just one where you got going really fast. The breaking is awesome and I created a huge cloud of blue smoke on one stop which was a bit too much I was told later on :evillaugh

You do it as a group and sometimes a person doesn't lean into it right and they slow down before the end resulting in the leads having to go out and get them. Otherwise it moves along at a good pace.

The guys leading us were a riot and super cool. They made sure everything was safe and at the same time joked around and made things fun. Overall a good 4 hour round trip trip (they picked us up at the Excalibur). Dress comfortably and have good running shoes (not dress shoes like my buddy did lol).
