Taking my sister on our trip to LV in mid-January and she's decided she wants to stay at a strip resort with a nice pool so she can swim in January...:rolleyes2:

We've been in January before, and walked around outside with a t-shirt and jeans on, but it never occurred to me to swim at that time..

Are all the pools open that time of year? Any of them heated? Any indoor pools??

    thanks!

I don't think any swimming will be done in January.

Tropicana, used to have half of it's outdoor pool
    inside a partition ---
I don't know if they kept it after it was remodelled ?

I've gotten out of a Vegas pool in 100 degree temps --
and with a stiff breeze - I was actually cold til I towelled off.
I can't imagine swimming in January, in Vegas.:nworthy:

I've been to Vegas twice in January and both times was definitely too cold to swim. Last time I was there the entire pool area at Bellagio was closed.

At least you won't have any problem getting a chaise by the pool! Much too cold for this Floridian to swim.

yeah, and we're from NC, so Im not sure where she gets this "thick skin" to swim in an outdoor pool in January comes from!!

I tried telling her, but she won't listen....maybe b/c its her bossy, big sister trying to tell her...:rolleyes2:

My wife and I are frequent December visitors to Vegas (over Xmas). Most pools are closed but we have found a few open. We have been able to swim at Caesar's Palace and the Bellagio. Both had some of their pools heated and they have great hot tubs. Of course I love swimming in warm water and then jumping out into the cold air. Sounds crazy but i do love it.
