Thanks, I found the thread and discussion on the Cromwell.

The old bills gamblin hall website, only says that it will be renamed, and reopen in 2014. Apparently they have forgotten about updating the site, with a link to the cromwell website.

Bill's was the very first place I gambled on my first time in Vegas so I was sad to see it go. It seems all the smaller and lower limit casinos on the strip are going the way of the Dinosaur. Here's hoping the Casino Royale hangs on.

Yes, I do..... They are ruining it to make another high priced place on the strip that most of us do not want, or care about. :nono: A few will love it.

Looks like the day club will be a hit with the young Californians blowing their future retirement funds.

Let's get something right here, it will always be The Barbary Coast. Let's not give credence to any silly CET name change.

Loved Bill's...would love to post pictures of my room there in 2012 but I don't know how. Loved the vibe I got from there. Old Vegas for me. Great people looking for fun no matter where you were staying at. I'm sure gonna miss it.

bahh I wanted to check it out at least, I will just miss it, leaving on the 18th :(. Probably won't miss much as it sounds to be another overpriced property instead of the Bill we all love. haha

I'll miss Bill's because going INTO the casino was the best way to avoid the down n out drunks that would congregate on the OUTSIDE of the property to get from point A to point B.

The Cromwell may be the opposite. Avoiding the RICH drunks making a fool of themselves INSIDE the casino, therefore walking on the outside along the Strip to get from point A to point B may be necessary.

Many people know what i'm talking about, the infamous corner outside Bill's.
The idea of walking into Bill's was a shortcut to save time (if you were't gambling there), but it also was an easy way to avoid certain people.

Let's hope a new security presence will be in effect inside and outside the property due to the $300/$400 per night clientele.

think of the stories that pile of mattresses could tell......and all the unique things they could grow in a petri dish :vomit:

and the funny thing about this whole project to me is this thread is at least the 3rd thread on this forum asking "what are they doing to Bills" and a couple of them have come after the whole gadandervorts naming and association blowup

CET is doing a wonderful job of getting the word out about this premier project :nono:

I checked with my host and this is true, there is a soft invitation only opening on May 1st. If you did not get a mailed invite, you can't swing it. My host couldn't swing it for me. I asked, since I will be in town that weekend (Supercross)
